After spending years in the big 4 audit, has anyone transitioned to go to law school? What made you realize it was the right move?

It’s that time, going to add to this monstrous attrition rate. UK based people can I ask which referrals you are able to provide then I will search for roles accordingly? Interested in big 4,top ten tech companies and large finance institutions.

In Public Accounting in Vancouver, what is the average signing bonus received when moving from B4 to mid-sized as a senior/designated professional? I've heard of many cases of signing bonuses but my former coworker who started at the company that I'm interviewing with didn't get a signing bonus. Is there a way to negotiate for one?

Client Development question! When you are developing a fee estimate, do you try to stay around a certain % of the clients gross revenue? Let’s say you are going after their tax compliance, tax planning and consulting, and payroll. I feel like 1% of total revenue is fair for small businesses up to $2 million in revenue. I think that % drops for larger clients. For reference, I’m at a regional firm. So don’t be throwing out Big 4 fees 😂 My firm has minimums, so that helps.

I have worked in a small firm for 4 years and will move to a bigger firm soon. When I told my boss that I would ask my professor at my school to see if any students want to apply for my position, he said no. It’s because students at my school usually aim for either big 4 or bigger firms. And he doesn’t want to train people for 3,4 years and they then leave for a bigger firm. I feel like he blames me for leaving the firm when he said that or am I just too sensitive?

Considering making a move from big 4 business consulting to a smaller (~200 people) digital transforation consulting firm in CA in that is hiring for specific staff augmentation role at one of their clients which is an $800 mil revenue and rapidly growing SaaS company. I know I would enjoy this new role but pay is the same although it is fully remote (my current role is defeintly not and I don't particularly enjoy the work/travel). Wondering what my benefits and risks are if making this move.
