Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

First congrats on the new job, the big 4 Capital Projects and Infrastructure teams are usually very competitive with so many talented engineers gunning for the open positions because they don’t see/like engineering industry work and the career progression.
Capital Projects and Infrastructure translates well into banking, entry level investment banking positions, manager for large scale infrastructure projects, Big Tech Ops management roles, big tech program management, etc.
Really the exit opportunities are endless, companies like too see the engineering background combined with management consulting. Try joining projects and learning skills that will translate better to the exit opportunity you’d want if you ever decided to exit consulting.
Investment banking, big tech, and MBB are the most common exit opportunities individual will aim for depending on the lifestyle they’re wanting and their interests.
Already looking at exit opps before starting, should go well.
^this. Stay ~2 years then dip to tech
