What is the best way to get deeper into tech sales? And make more money! Currently Director for a SaaS tech company, do I need to stick it out for a year or two, to appear valuable to another org or should I start applying?

I got a job as a infrastructure consultant right out of college 3 years ago and later became a solutions architect at the company I am at now. I have a degree in CS and never really got the chance to use my programming skills (Java, python, Springboot framework). I’m finding that I’m not really in to platform engineering or cloud infrastructure and would like to pivot to software/app development.
