I feel bullied and very anxious. I am afraid she can jeopardize my visa with a bad evaluation. I have been working at midnight, on Sunday mornings but I am human, I make mistakes, she just blames me instead of teaching.

Need advice. I've been almost 3 years in my previous company and never have I ever tasted any raise from them. I got transferred to different accounts and LOB it was so exhausting and finally when I decided to leave and send my resignation my Supervisor be like "you know you should be thankful of your job" To be honest the job was very stressful and supervisor at some point is somehow toxic but thankful I get to take my leave.

I’ve been asked by a client to coach their team on how to structure and write scripts for their corporate event content (e.g. panel discussions). I’ve happily had a crack at helping them but it’s a bit out of my wheelhouse - is this ask something that would ordinarily be given to an agency copywriter? My parents got divorced 6 years ago and my dad kinda gave up on life. His American dream was to graduate with an actuary degree (which he did 2 years ago) and find a corporate job but it never happened...He gave up on life to a point that has no food and is behind rent because he doesn't want to get a $15 an hour job or a maintenance/painting job. He doesn't do drugs or alcohol and my wife is going to kill me if she finds out again that I gave him money again.

I'm a light sleeper who cares too much about the people around me, but I've got a flight to London next Friday from 7pm NYC time to 7am UK time, and I'd really like to master sleeping on a plane just this once and not be in jet lag hell for the entire day after I land. i am incredibly livid at the way my firm laid me off, claiming it was performance based when i know it was bc of some unrelated conversation about wanting to broaden my professional bandwidth. Took my little dude to Target so he could buy a Xmas gift for his sibling. While browsing, he lost his $42 he’d been saving up. Same kid found a wallet packed with cash and credit cards at Disney a couple months back, and gave the wallet to the Disney employees —cuz it was the right thing to do. I'm a fresh grad and I thought this would be my dream job... I became the 3rd team member in this location and the regional team leader helped me understand and learned a lot... Until about 4 months down the line, he announced to quit. It's about half of year now since I started to feel ever so alone, hopeless and helpless in the team. I’m so grumpy about new campus hires. Sometimes I’m judgmental (your hobby is “working on your golf swing,” really?). Sometimes I’m just exhausted by the worried earnestness. Sometimes I’m amazed that they seem to have zero useful skills, yet they’ll be making 150k easily in the not too distant future.
