Ehh kind of a douchey way for him to approach that but who cares 🤷🏻♀️ you’re leaving anyway. He’s probably just salty because you’re leaving. Don’t let it bother you.
Thank you. I just feel bad when I leave so I’m trying to help as much as I can.
why do u even gaf? Lmao, let ‘em do entry level work all by them self
Because I feel bad when I leave too.
He does blame you for leaving and that's nuts on his part. 4 years at a first job is really good. You were a good employee. Don't let crazy boss get you down
Thank you so much!
Who cares if he blames you? That is his issue. You should do what you think is best for you
OP, I worked at a really small, family owned firm too before. One of the owners of the company (still pretty young) was happy that I got a job at a much bigger firm. She even mentioned I gave her hope. She previously wasn’t sure if any big companies will hire her because she felt that she has worked at her own, boutique firm for a long time and she thought she didn’t have a chance getting any job at a big firm. Fortunately though, I proved her assumption was wrong.
People leave firms all the time. It's the business model. Your boss is just being a snarky jerkface because you're not acting like an indentured servant.
That’s what I think for any companies whether they are big or small. I just didn’t think I got that vibes from him since he said he was happy for me when I put 2 weeks notice.
It’s out of line for you to try to find your replacement. Learn to respect your elders and stay in your lane
Don’t feel bad about anything. Despite how they act, you’re just a number to them and easily replaceable. Do what’s best for you and don’t feel bad about it!!
Everyone is replaceable. Bosses only care about their largest client, if they care at all.
Always put you first because no one else will.
Thank you for all of your responses no matter my side or his side. Today is my last day and I had a farewell talk with my boss. Everything was good. And I am ready to start my new job!
