I am looking for job change I am having 15+ yrs exp PMP certified project manager and SAFe certified scrum master. Looking dor wfh option with Service delivery or PM role

Hi! I have 9yoe in startup, hyper growth environments. I have a strong customer Quality Assurance process improvement background. I want to shift into becoming more of an IC vs people manager. With that in mind, what steps would get me there? Should I consider a PMP or Lean Six Sigma certification? Any other ideas? I feel so stuck and need a change. Thank you!

I’m an early career Project Manager (3yoe). My position as an Associate Project Manager got elimated 3 weeks ago so now I’m looking for new opportunities. Wondering if anyone has any tips or experience they can share. Is it worth to spend this money?

I’m an early career as a Project Manager (4 yoe). Just got eliminated from my role as an Associate Project Manager. I’m actively looking for work but thinking of spending $ and time to get certification as a PM. Is it worth it? If so, which certificate should I put my money on? I was looking at eCornell PM. I think I want to get a PMP as well.

Trying to change careers. I've grown steadily in the advertising industry (mostly in a support or administrative capacity). I tried sales but hate it, and am now working on a PMP cert. I've updated my resume to include as many quantifiables as possible and have been getting plenty of the 15 min screening interviews but nothing after that. I'm also looking for a remote or hybrid option to help with my solo parenting life. Any suggestions to improve my chances??

For the seasoned Product Managers on this platform - how important/relevant is getting your PMP for folks looking to transition into and/or grow their careers in PM?

I’m getting frustrated - the last 10 yrs I have attempted to get my foot in the door at the bug4/big tech as a consultant or PM on the IT side of things. I have an b.comm in MIS, have led implementations of saas platforms (Workday/Smartsheet), support, Devops hold my PMP. My skillset is wide and even friends who are directors/principals are impressed by my resume, but I can never get an interview from any of these places. Wtf am I doing wrong? I have internal & SaaS vendor exp. I’m from Toronto

Should I get the CAPM or go straight for the PMP?

I currently work for the fed government as a contract specialist for 2.5 years but have been thinking about making career change to project management. I also have a masters in public administration. I know you need 3 years of experience in PM to get a PMP but I wanted to know if it would be possible to sit for the exam without the experience? I mean I technically have 6 more months until I obtain the 3 years of experience. Thought?

White male/28yo, military, 2.75 GPA from service academy (took 2 online math courses from reputable schools to correct low math grades in UG), 710 GMAT (40V/47Q), 5 years WE (3 in managerial role w/ consistent promotions), six sigma & PMP certs. What are my chances at t25 and t15 programs? Also, would you recommend taking GRE? (Scored 317 on diagnostic very cold - 151V/166Q)

Looking for negotiation advice between these two offers for a Program Manager. Currently a Sr Project Manager in tech w/ 16 YOE, with PMP and CSM and SAFe certifications. First offer: contractor, USD $85/hour. Second offer: Full time CAD employment, $165k salary w/ a decent health benefits package and 4 weeks vacation. Which would you choose, or how would you negotiate between these two offers?

Is there value in getting a PMP these days? I’ve been a project manager for 10 years primarily staffed on Tech projects for financial services companies. I do have a CSM (but never worked as a Scrum Master). I’m trying to decide if the time and money I would put into getting the PMP would be worthwhile. Thanks for your insights!

Hi, I recently read "How to crack PM interview" book. It will written that for a person with no prior experience in PM should build a mobile app to showcase the skills. I have CS degree so it won't be hard to me to build an app.

What are your thoughts on this? Will it be helpful or should I do some beginners certification like Foundations of Prince2/ Certified Associate Project Manager (PMP)?

Hi everyone - I am currently in a Corporate Accounting Manager role and want to move into a finance director role eventually (likely a 18 month - 2 year finance role between now and then) do you think a CAPM cert would help me in the role or to obtain it? I think the project management concepts are important but I don’t know that they’d be important enough to go full scale PMP.

Looking to move to a different position in healthcare, preferably in NYC. I have supervisory experience as well as a Bachelors in health admin and economics. I am currently working on my PMP cert as well as my SQL cert. Any ideas on what’s out there? I’ve looked at Mount Sinai, NYU, NYP, NYC H+H, Montefiore and Northwell but haven’t gotten anything yet.

Deloitte 🐠 I left the firm in July, but prior to leaving was prepping to take the PMP. I completed my learning hours, but it was through my Deloitte LinkedIn Learning profile. Any idea if I’d be able to recover it?

I have a salary question about Accenture's (AFS) salary for a consultant. I'm in the DC area, worked as a federal healthcare consultant for 3 years. Six years of experience post-masters total. Just got my PMP last fall. I've had two interviews with Accenture for Consultant and supposedly I have one more. On my first recruiting interview I asked for $120-125K. The recruiter said the highest they could go would be $110K- 112K plus a sign-on bonus. I thought that was kind of low. Thoughts?
