Should I get the CAPM or go straight for the PMP?
I have got the final int. selection mail from Mindtree and even gone through client round(comfort call). HR confirmed abt. all salary approvals and releasing offer soon(twice in whatsapp). But after the merger she is telling ' waiting for business updates'. Any clue what's going on in backend? Still any hope remains? Cognizant Infosys Accenture Tata Consultancy
Has any PM at an agency switched to client side? I feel like it’s mostly account people who easily transition to client side. By the looks of job descriptions, it sounds like I’d need to be an account executive prior to becoming a brand manager...which I don’t know if I financially do this as AEs make $20-30K less than I do.
My husband and I are thinking of starting a family relatively soon. However, I get a ton of anxiety thinking about having kids and working at an agency just dealing with demanding clients, having poor work life balance, and a lot of unnecessary stress. What has worked for all of you? Have you found roles outside of agencies or established better work/life balance in your current roles? I just don’t know how to translate my skills into a non-agency job without an MBA or something.
Tired of all the respectability politics. Just once I want to write what I really mean in an email or tell a client what I really think of them when they ask. F*cking tired of walking on eggshells and constantly wondering if I did or said the right thing in the right way or the right tone to make sure the people around me are comfortable. Who's doing that for me at work? Nobody.
Know any up and coming freelance comedy editors? Just lost our person on a challenge on a project that has a tight budget
Anyone recently joined Accenture and just hardlock to a project with no work? How long does it takes to get allocated to project ?
Hey fish, I’m coming up on a year post PhD and this job has drained a lot out of me. There’s not a lot I enjoy: overpromising partners, annoying clients, endless iterations (from either client or partner), poorly scoped KOL interviews, long hours… The only reason I haven’t quit is the US healthcare system’s reliance on employer provided insurance. Where can I go with ~1YOE post PhD? It feels like nearly every job requires a lot more and I just don’t have it in me to push through another 1-2y…
Looking for a referral to @Blackbaud! Currently a PMP working in non-profit. Any help/advice is very much appreciated!
Freelance Producer: “I wish would would have proposed to NOT do this project.”
Creative: “But it was our idea...”
About to start my first freelance copywriting project, what is a sufficient quote? I am a grad student with class and agency experience but this is my first freelance project (for context).
Does anyone know of AI or a bot that can crawl Facebook and FB groups for trademarks and other copyright infringement? My client wants to stop misinformation and use of their logo without consent.
How do you as the attorney balance your advice with your client’s wishes? Meaning when what the client wants is not, in your opinion, in their best interest, when they want to settle for less “to be done,” or pay more “to get him out of the house,” when do you stop pushing back and give in? I’ve lost at least one client before for pushing too hard to get what they were entitled to when they wanted to give in and I’m fear I’m facing something similar now.
To freelancers, legitimate question... have any of you ever told a manager at an agency that you were “done” with an assignment, because you did not like the feedback and refuse to work further on a project?
Hello what would you suggest the asking salary for a certified addiction counselor with certication in behavioral health tech, certified recovery peer specialist as well as certification as a life coach going for counseling position in substance abuse treatment?

How do you know which firm is leading in which space? Is it defined by client list? Or exposure in thought leadership? Or using the Verdantix self-reported quadrant analysis?
Give me your thoughts and opinions.
How did you study / prepare for the CISA exam? Did you read the book first and then focus on database questions? Thanks in advance 😊
Crisis Management in Project Management
Matched with a girl on a desi/Muslim app a couple of days ago, convo has gone very well but she is pushing hard with the marriage talk already 🥴 I like her otherwise so far but this is getting a bit overwhelming. She also lives in a different state that is not an easy drive to, and she is expecting that I fly in to meet her next weekend.
Is this normal, or is it normal for me to be “second-guessing” things?
Confused, and would appreciate any advice.
My sister got a second round of technical interview invite from e-bay for risk analytics. Does anyone know what the second technical round is going to be about? In the first technical round, she got questions on SQL.
Any tips on making decks for a rookie here?
Can anyone give me a referral for an IFS role? I found one I like but just want a leg up, thanks. PwC
I have joined American Express a few months back.
I have been facing a lot of issues in the current team.
Is it possible that I can request for the team change?
If yes then what's the process for the same?
Also, will this have any long term impact on my growth in this organization?
Watching the Adam Project movie I noticed the kid's wearing a speedmaster. Would you give such a watch to a young teen to wear as a daily? Or even at all?

I am trying to lose weight and of course the first thing you are always told is to drink a lot of water. As a teacher, how is that possible when you can't leave the room during class time? And I don't think is healthy to do it all after work. Suggestions?
I’ve started “quiet quitting”, as much as I hate that term. I am no longer responding to emails prior to 8AM as well as responding past 6 and not during my hour lunch break. I’ve been doing this for 3 weeks now and found no one cares. After years of making myself available 24/7 and people taking advantage once I set my own boundaries it has happened organically. Why didn’t I do this years ago?!
Taking audit very soon..For those of you that took it recently, can you give me any tips? What should I concentrate on? Is there a lot of sampling questions?
Any Product roles that have travel potential? I love my role as a PM, but miss the travel that I had in consulting. Are there any firms that have regular (monthly or quarterly) travel?
A friend just gave me a bunch of her baby’s clothes. She has a 6 month old and I’m a few months away from first. What can I gift her as a thank you?
Embarrassing ADHD moments? I'll start
1. Drove home 2 hours tonight only to realize 2 hours later that I forgot my laptop bag
2. Went out of town and left meat out the freezer. Called an uber driver to use my padlock to get into my place and put it back
3. Driven off with the gas pump in my car. Twice
4. Walked in, paid for gas, walked out, got in my car and drove off
5. Forgot gyro meat in my air fryer for 2 weeks.

I think it is ridiculous that PMs are expected to take notes during client calls. The Account team should document client feedback or if the feedback is minimal, the creative team should take their own notes on what changes the client wants. Today an AM said that a new creative was used to the PM giving them notes and micro-managing their time. I told them I don't have the capacity to micro-manage the creative and that we are all adults and could take notes during the call. Am I wrong?
I’m 30 and want to work hard, learn and grow But I also don’t want to feel like a burnt out slave… is going in-house less demanding than agencies? Pros/cons of moving? 😔
I think I’ve given up on the notion of Project Management and Account Management ever working in harmony.
Creatives, Strategists, Developers are great to work with, collaborative, trusting, etc. But I can count on 1 hand the number of Account folks I’ve enjoyed working with over a long career at many agencies. Anyone ever make the jump to an internal PM role with no client work?
Anyone have a MASSIVELY micromanagey boss? I've had my share but this fella takes the cake. Today I was asked to share my work in progress on some projects work. Even though I said I'd work to have things delivered by the end of the week. I've never shared or ask to see WIP work without context. It's like looking for an excuse to find something wrong.
Just got my PMI certification, what are some must to have on my resume before I start looking.
How do your companies separate Project Management from Account Management? Our marketing agency’s current thinking is to have no Account Managers / Directors, but rather Strategists and PMs sharing in a client-facing role…
Looking to pivot into pm from teaching. Working on the Google PM cert. Any tips for breaking in?
DO YOU JUST ASSUME THE COST OF YOUR MARKETING ACTIVITIES? I am looking to allocate their cost in the marketing budget in a way that won't rely on several layers of assumptions. How do you reliably estimate the cost of different marketing activities (email, social, web, etc) when you don't have specific people or tools allocated to each function and costs are spread across many channels? Ads seems the easiest, but even then there's time and overheads... I've been looking for a reliable model.
What staff percentage should be PM? Realize it depends on many factors. My experience says 10% - digital agency (producers reduce PM need), 5% - media agency, between that for integrated on/offline.
What agencies have a good delivery department. Specifically one that does decent training? In my ten years in the industry I don't think I've worked anywhere where professional growth was a real thing
Is anybody using Microsoft Planner for project management? Seems like it can be beneficial since we are on Microsoft for most things.
Any tips for PMs who've gone client side. Particularly those who work on digital/interactive work (vs traditional or integrated).
Does anybody here work in a project management/producer role at BIO Agency Tech Mahindra? I'm starting the interview process and can't find much on Glassdoor about other people's experience at the company in Toronto or the role itself.
Looking for career advice… currently at a pharma agency but am well tired of the woes that come with it. Currently making 125k and looking to transition to a more technical / internal PM or maybe resource manager role. Has anyone done the switch? How much of a cut did you take?
I’m currently a senior PM for a creative agency and was contacted about a program manager position (with some project manager responsibilities) for a Saas company. Has anyone made a similar switch? Can anyone tell me their experiences working in the saas industry?
For the first time in my career, I am managing a junior PM who reports into me. Any advice for a first time manager? Anything that has helped you become a better mentor?
