do you get miles and mileage and spend towards status if you book through amex travel?

Does Amex Platinum cover baggage delays? I see lost/damaged baggage and trip interruption on the benefits site, but nothing specifically that covers bag delays…

26M making $155k base and about $185k TC at a large payments firm (Visa, MC, AmEx). I’m also 1 year away from promo which will probably get me to $210-220k TC.

Do you think I still need an MBA? A lot of senior leaders in my team have 1 so I’m really not sure at this point. The opportunity costs are high, but I’m well aware of the long term benefits. Debating credit card strategies for next year. I’m currently a digital nomad and “rent” and everything is put on travel cards. Currently have CSR & AMEX platinum. I’m leaning towards canceling AMEX Platinum due to higher fee & lack of usage overseas. I’m thinking CSR as primary travel card, with a new United Quest as backup travel CC and AMEX Blue Cash Preferred for monthly expenses in the U.S.

What tips, tricks, and recommendations do you have?

It's worth noting these things I already plan on doing:
1. Cancel Tricare Reserve Select (and take advantage of the free six months post-mob as well)
2. Apply for the Amex Platinum once I am activated ($700 fee is waived for active duty, they don't follow up)

Already have CSP, looking at getting another card. Is there more value in getting a hotel/airline branded card or going for a premium card like Amex plat, CSR or the new venture X?

Is it worth it to upgrade to AmEx Gold or Platinum for the McKinsey corporate card for 2022 given the associated fees but with less travel these days?

PRO TIP: Don’t ever book your flights through Amex travel. The staff are incompetent, the hassle isn’t worth the 5x points.

Traveling internationally via LAX. Don’t have status with any airlines but have the CSR and the Amex platinum through work. But looks like neither card has lounges that are operational at the moment. Any other options to get some work done. I probably will be at the airport for at least six hours before departure because of back to back meetings.

Is Amex really worth it? My wife has a platinum card, and I have a Gold card - mostly because we used to travel a lot for work, but this has changed since COVID. Amex is increasing platinum fees to $675 a year, which would normally be a lot, but even more so when we're not using airline lounges, Uber kickbacks, travel perks, etc. nearly as much as we used to.

New hire, I’ve never had an AMEX card before but want to get one to take advantage of my points. I’m generally opposed to paying annual fees so all of my credit cards currently are no-fee. Food is generally my biggest non-rent expense so I probably would take full advantage of the dining credits.
