What are the best ways to spend Amex points and Chase Ultimate Reward points now? 🙏🏻

Has anyone transferred AMEX points to Qatar airlines to upgrade a flight? Qatar website is a disaster and it’s a pain to figure out if it’s worth it.

If I opened a AmEx Platinum card back in April and collected that bonus. Would I be able to open an AmEx Gold and collect that bonus as well?

Want to upgrade personal AMEX, looked at platinum but i don't really travel a lot. Would gold make more sense then?

I left a job in summer 2021 and have travel credit from work related flights that were canceled in March 2020. When I try to use the credit American Airlines is telling me I need to, “contact your original booking source.” These we’re booked through Amex Global Travel. Do I contact them? Am I SOL? Has anyone been able to successfully use work credits for personal travel?

I recently received an Amex gold offer with SUB 80k points, however the corporate account with my firm has an offer at 60k plus $100 recurring statement credit if I apply for a personal card within the corporate account. Which one would be the better offer now? Based on basic math does this come down to whether I expect to stay with the firm for 2 years to make the extra 20k points lost worth it? Leaving Deloitte next week. I have 932 points left on my corporate card account - I don’t want to just leave them there but it looks like I have to transfer in increments of 1000.
