So two great interviews and left it with the MD wanting me to meet the ECD next. Been over a week and no set up for next round. Sent a follow up yesterday no response. Guess I just hold? Labor Day throwing a wrench? Don’t want to be a pest but want this gig bad. Might have a freelance thing come on. Maybe if I get that I can add some pressure but the wait is weighing.

Have a call with Amazon where I present a case study (10 min deck). Any tips on what they look for or presenting tips ?

I’m on my last interview at two different agencies. One recruiter is from internal and the other one is from the external recruiter who hooked me to this agency.
She’s really really nice and asked me when would be my ideal start date. Should I give heads up to her that I’m also on the last step at the other agency?(I’m likely going to the other agency but don’t want to ruin a relationship with her)

What are good ways / software to do research for strategy?
I’m getting tired of our planning team interviewing five people in our agency that fit the target group description and then write a strategy based on those answers.

I’m currently interviewing for an AS role which would be a bit of a pay cut, but I’ll get to learn a lot so I’m interested. Any tips on how to approach the negotiation convo if/when that comes, besides asking to at least meet me halfway re:salary? They already provide unlimited PTO and free health benefits(which is nice).

Some agencies are super collaborative, and others arent as much.
Very curious what we think of work that has like 2 mid level teams on the credits, 2 acd teams, a cd team, and 5 ecds.
Is that just something thats spoken to in interviews? Are creatives on projects like that less marketable? Is it bad from a creative’s perspective to be on projects like that? Any and all opinions are welcome

i have this odd recurring thought that there’s a point in your career specifically while interviewing for jobs that you realize you’re finally at the same level as your interviewers & there’s no weird barriers bc of age diff’s.

like you go from being a 22-27 year old interviewing with the head of recruitment to a 35-40 year old at the same level as the people you’re interviewing with. like your generation is finally in charge of calling the shots… does that ever happen? lol

How long is too long after interview? I recently interviewed last Tuesday, which I was told was the final interview. I haven't heard back yet. It seems to go well? Should I give it some more time or abandon hope?

I started in a pharma advertising this year. Was very transparent in my interview about what experience I didn’t have. My boss interviewed me for a very short time & was my last round of interviews. I think they expected me to take off & run & not have to help me learn the industry. Tension/frustration w/having to deal w/me is visible. HR is aware. Mgr is aware of my perception, but the conversation was left open ended. Their calendar has a “next steps” mtg for me but I’m not included. Advice?

Need help y'all! I have an interview soon for a Sr. Creative Strategist role @ Vox Media on their agency side. What kinds of questions are hiring managers asking these days? What curveballs should I be prepped for?

Unrealistic expectations from boss / client. What would you ask during an interview to weed these out? Also what responses would raise red flags for you?

Just had a terrible phone interview with a recruiter, she was completely checked out and not enthusiastic at all about talking to me. Should I just proactively pass on this job or see if I get an interview with the creative team? I don't want another demoralizing "we're moving forward with other candidates" email.

I saw like a bunch of answers and complicated graphs when I Google-searched “salary range of a Toronto-based copywriter”. I am an immigrant copywriter who still converts currencies while making buying decisions. Could a kind soul from HR or anyone privy to that info clarify what an experienced copywriter should make or how much they should quote while interviewing for a role at a global agency? Not changing jobs or anything, just curious!

I had an interview that felt great with a recruiter and now seem to be ghosted (no reply after reaching out to her twice when they said they’re looking to fill it fast). It truly sounded like I’d be moving to the next phase. Is it okay to send the CD on the account an email asking for an interview? What's the average amount of time you have waited til you received any next steps/communication and/or offer letter after going through 2-3 rounds of interviews?

What is the most efficient way to find full time opportunities as a CD or ACD? Broad question, but hitting a dead end after about 2 months and 3 interviews. Big confidence blow - imposter syndrome kicking in even with quite a strong portfolio with big name brands.

What am I missing — are we hitting recruiters up on LinkedIn, getting referrals?

I made a post yesterday generally asking thoughts on being asked to do a design assessment as part of an interview. I just received the project, and it is a five page brief asking for 2-3 variations of two deliverables as part of a phase one campaign for an existing real product. I am to present, make changes live on the call, then give them my files by midnight the day after.

I feel like this is scamming me of my intellectual time with no guarantee of an offer. Am I justified or being cynical?

Let’s say you had 2interviews and both of them went really well. You got an offer from Agency A right after you had an interview with Agency B which also went well.
As you prefer AgencyB and want to see the result before you sign for the Agency A
what would you do?
Tell agencyB recruiter that you got an offer but want to hold it since u want to go B? or ask agency A to wait?

5 separate interviews at the same shop for a jr role? Any thoughts? Never had this before

Does Omnicom have a hiring freeze? Is the below scenario typical of OMG or is this a red flag?

After interviewing at an OMG agency, I received verbal confirmation immediately afterwards that they’d like to move forward with an offer, but need finance approvals. This was 2 weeks ago though, and still no official offer.

That said, the recruiter has been responsive towards me, and hasn’t ghosted me but wondering what the reason could be for the delay.

Job seekers, have you ever received a reply to your thank you email after the interviews? Or is this a ‘thing’ that interviewers never do. Like an something you could write a Seinfeld episode to. Where Elaine tells Jerry she replied all to a candidate after she received a thank you email, and he freaks out. Jerry then tells everyone which elicits the same response?

Paid Social Manager interview tips or resources? I’ve been at an agency for awhile now and I have a brand side interview this week. I really really want this job and there’s no doubt in my mind that I can do it (I realize all candidates feel the same way) but I feel like I’m queen of making it through final round interviews and not getting chosen. I know all of the standard tips but if anyone has any advice for specifically this field or position, or any advice, I’d love to hear it!

If they already love my portfolio, how important is it to knock the interview out of the park? Sometimes its hard to be dripping with charisma when I'm talking to a webcam.

Recruiter told me i’m on their top list, CDs love my portfolio. He even sent me company’s benefits already even before I have an interview with them. So I’d better not fuck that upcoming 30mins interview. Do you think that 30mins interview will be a more personality check or talking about my works more…? Or both..?
