I started at a US-based company about 3 weeks ago in a permanently remote role based out of Canada. Since it is a remote job, I planned to visit my family in December who stay in another country and continue working from there as per my current time zone for a couple of weeks. My manager shot down this plan saying I’m too new to make this work and I should have told this before I joined, he’d have delayed my joining. Am I being unreasonable in my request? I would be grateful for any advice. TYSM

Need some genuine help. Currently working as a support analyst at BNPP with skill set as SQL, Unix, ITIL, PLSQL. Having 4 yrs of experience.Regretting joining BNP cause it's the worst team where I'm working in. Targeting me deliberately as I had resigned once and took my papers back as they agreed to provide wfh for few more months. But now it is out of my bearing capacity to stay here.Spending hours and hours of time daily on naukri and indeed for remote job openings. Continued..

Saw a post where a guy had 11 remote jobs and 11 laptops on his desk. Said he racked up $1.3m in salaries. I wonder…would employers really even know?

I’m looking for an easy wfh/ remote job thats part time or can be done part time after my main job, data entry or software testing)? Anyone have an recommendations? Also is it true that you can do software testing without a degree? (I have a masters in marketing tho)

Have BS and MS in Criminal Justice. Have not worked in my field in years. Was office manager for a pediatric dental clinic for 13 years. Did everything. All the doctor had to do was sit down beside the patient and work. In 2021 l began new career in case management, employment services, and now program coordinator for 2 federal WIOA programs to promote workforce development. It's boring to me, after less than 2 years. Any suggestions on WFH jobs that pay at least $22-$25p/hr?

I am an L&D Professional looking for my next challenge. At the end of June I left a company I spent almost four years at for a remote position, (My 9yr old 🤩Autistic kiddo had to switch schools. It was a big change, I needed a wfh job 4 him while he transitioned and 4 transport.) 3 Wks ago LAY OFFS. I received sev. but I am panicked. I’ve only had one interview, the rest email rejects. can’t decide what offer to take/prioritize

option 1: 65k base, live at home, near friends, family, s/o, save a ton of money by eoy (~30k) bc i wouldn’t be paying rent. but it’s a remote job and it’ll be hard meeting people and living at home (lol), healthcare industry job

option 2: 84k base, but would end up saving less (~20k) bc of rent and new car. i also would be moving to a new city away from fam, s/o, but closer to career goals, IT strategy consulting job
