Willing to give my year end bonus to whoever refers me to a job that I end up securing. Strategy or financial services, preferably, but obviously not terribly picky right now.
SO was sick with the flew before I left earlier this morning. 8 hours no contact. Last message was 'going to sleep'. Should I be concerned? We live together. Debating if I should call 911
Why is it so hard to care about this job? Maybe it's time to switch firms or go to MBA....
TFW all the New Years resolution people are at the gym and the regulars can't even get a flat bench despite the gym have 18 of them... and the people "using" them aren't actually using them
How tricky is the move from strategy consulting to investment banking if you’ve done previous internships in IB? I am currently a junior consultant thinking of applying for an analyst role at a bank. I joined my firm last October and I feel like I’ve made a mistake and strategy definitely isn’t technical enough for my liking.
How difficult is it to go from IT consulting (PM) to management consulting? Have an interview lined up and want to know what areas will be key to highlight and some of the known gaps.
How to transition from being a BA to EM? I’ve completed over 3 yrs, feel like I’m doing great work, and consistently receiving positive feedback (uptil 2nd year I was ahead of the class), yet I’m not getting a clear opportunity to get a managerial role in a project. Am I the only one who has felt I’m a great IC but struggles with the promotion?
With the new cohort system does PDubs match offers that are outside of the cohort range? Say if I'm an SA3 and am offered manager at another Big 4; would they match the offer?
Culture question for Deloitte FBers: how common is it for a coworker (at any level) to no show for a one-on-one meeting without any warning?
1. Industry wide question: is your bench heavy? 2. Accenture Strategy question: Do you feel like there's not enough work to go around, and the work that is available isn't teaching you much?
I’m looking for a screening tool that will assess a candidate’s proficiency with MS-Teams. Would anyone know if there is such a thing that exists?
With all you consultants on here brushing off the risk of coronavirus, I swear to God, if there is a US outbreak, it will almost certainly be caused/exacerbated by overconfident traveling consultants
Any tips for maximizing parental leave? Any suggestions on logistics, benefits, perks, etc. much appreciated. Intentionally not posting in EY bowl so can get a sense for what more have done.
I joined consulting straight out of college last year, been living at home and will have saved close to 70k by the end of the year (including 401k). I’m super unhappy and feeling unfulfilled. I want to do something out of the ordinary with my life, tempted to put in a LOA and take 6 months traveling Europe and write a book. Should I do it? Follow up edit: any success stories of people of have done this? And can share…
Love you Grandma but I'm not getting into Harvard MBA no matter how special you think I am
I don’t understand this concept of inclusion. Male counterparts are favoured for some xyz reason. Ladies in consulting, do you see this happening around you?
Transfer pricing B4: What’s your position/year and how much are you making? Just joined the field, and I’m curious how much I could make in the long run.
Those of you who know you’re NOT getting a bump in salary, no matter how many ATL alerts cross your inbox each day: how did you manage to unsubscribe to the alerts, and why didn’t you convince me to do it weeks ago?
About to go on a flight tomorrow but our toddler has a slight runny/congested nose and some sneezing. Hoping it passes but how do I get in touch with American Airlines to potentially change my flight in the case that he is actually sick? Flight is tomorrow but current ETA for a call back is Weds. They should be able to issue credits or change the flight days after we no-show? Also I’m guessing the airline will not allow us to get on the plane given these symptoms even if he wears a mask?
Accenture 🐠 - any insight into the base / total compensation I should expect as an experienced hire (3 YOE) Strategy Consultant? Just want to have an idea of what I should go for! Thanks
New parent, wife and I had our first a month ago. Feel like the baby likes my wife a lot more than me lol. I could be holding him the same exact way, but when she takes him, he stops crying or being irritable. Kind of a shitty feeling. Wonder if others have gone through this or am I just doing something wrong. Part of me thinks maybe the baby is more comfortable with mom because of the breast feeding connection? Idk
Have 401K and TSP. Is it worth opening an IRA Roth or better off investing into stocks and funds on my own?
Is experience in Labor and Employment applicable at all in Executive Comp & Benefits? If not, what are some resources that I can read that gives me a primer on that area of law?
CC wants me to join a project with them. Pros? Cons? What to do and what to look out for?
This is a query regarding a course. I am currently enrolled in PGP Data Science and Business Analytics offered by Great Learning (Great Lakes Institute of Management) and University of Texas, Austin. It's completely online and 11 months. Is this course equivalent to a Masters/ MBA? Do recruiters consider this course as a valid one?
Was offered a Strategy Consultant role with Accenture (progression point C) for $150k. Asked what the sign-on bonus would be and was told $20k. Is this fair comp? Should I negotiate? I tried to negotiate salary but was told it is fixed. I haven't tried to negotiate sign-on yet, but also feel like it's fair and don't want to lose the offer. Wondering if this is my minority woman mentality. Background: Program director for a nonprofit for the past 5-7 years. Double masters in education (no mba).
