New fish looking for career guidance.

I'm a corporate recruiter with 3 years of experience. Finishing my degree in HRM 5/2022. I'm thinking of getting my SHRM -CP shortly after graduation.

I'm not sure of where to go after that, but I doubt I will stick with recruiting or my current firm.

Has anyone here started off in recruiting and branched out to other HR functions? Do you like your new role? Do you wish you stuck with recruiting?

What is everyone’s go to ice breaker question? I have to lead a new hire training session and we need to have 1 question. Similar along the lines of what would you last meal be, what’s your fav vacation spot, etc

Trying to decide between an offer at Deloitte and a counter-offer at Booz. Deloitte has the name recognition and better benefits but I have a really supportive team at Booz and good work-life balance. Any insight is appreciated! I realized a slow pace at work is really bad for me. A couple years ago I was experiencing burn out from my fast paced job supporting transactions, and believed by moving to a slower job in a lower cost area, I would be sailing off to the sunset. Wrong, I spend weeks following up with other teams, often times they forgot what we discussed, so I spent 50% if the time reminding them of the topics and next steps. I spend most of my time writing memos no one will read.

Anyone else feel like your junior creatives don't want to be creative?? Ex: "I'd love to see some new options. Anything you'd like, no restrictions" response "Do we have to? They'll never buy it"😳

Got a message from a Bain recruiter looking for experienced hires to start q1. I'm very interested but cautious because they're looking for a speedy process...feels a little rushed. Anything to be concerned about that I don't know? Like could this just be an attempt to get huge app volume or can I assume there's actually a chance if they reached out?
