I am looking into various L&E firms. Does anyone have any insight on FordHarrison? Salary estimate, culture, billable expectations, anything? Any help is appreciated. Thank you!
Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. I was hoping to get some thoughts on this from others? Thanks
I am paying $15,000 out of pocket for a fertility-related procedure (the surgeon doesn’t accept any insurance.) The 15K is referred to as the up-front fee, and the surgeon’s office says that any out of network reimbursements I may receive from my insurance also goes to him. Is this allowed?
Looking for advice on project management software or tools for HR consulting. Our firm doesn’t have anything that is standard or used at all, and while some of us are starting to venture into using Microsoft Teams, I feel like there are so many tools out there and we could be doing things way more efficiently. We work in small client teams (1-3 team members per client usually) and it’s a mix of strategy, tactical, and outsourced HR work. Any suggestions?
Thoughts on Winston & Strawn (Chicago) vs Katten (Chicago) for lateral move as a mid level in m&a/cap markets? Culture? Quality of work? Watch outs?Winston & Strawn KattenMuchinRosenman LLP
You’re constantly showing up for everyone else, but who’s showing up for you? I started an initiative to coach HR/people leaders because I know what it’s like to be doing all the things for everyone else with little support or focus on your own well-being, growth and development. It’s a lonely game! I’d be delighted to create the space to make you a priority. Would love to offer a free session, or simply connect: https://www.chrisrollins.me/peopleleaders.
Is there such a thing as "insurance law?"

Which books would you recommend to a product counel for tech startup about strategy, management, and leadership?
How do you continue with work as usual when it seems like the rest of your life is falling apart? I feel like I’m spiraling and just want to quit everything and drive somewhere far away to start over. I have a call with a partner soon and not sure if my usually good at faking enthusiasm self will be able to pull through on this one.
Good morning, I work for Solugenix placing top notch candidates at companies throughout the US. I just started at Solugenix so anyone who needs any assistance either finding a job or looking for candidates please let me know. Thanks and have a great day.

Looking for feedback on Paylocity and UKG payroll HRIS. We have 250 employees and rapidly growing company.
How much value do companies place on HR experience in a specific industry? My thought is that HR is HR wherever you go, and it shouldn’t be difficult to switch industries (e.g. manufacturing to financial services), mid- to late-career. But what has been your experience?
If i move jobs, on h1, can i I change my job expertise? Like say from doing tech inplementations and assessments i go to strategy? Is that an issue for visa?

Anyone in Transaction Advisory Services at RSM as a Senior? What's your salary and location?
First week at new job and I find that 4 of the 5 member panel that interviewed me don't work with the firm (non F500 CorpDev) anymore. It's only been 2 days here and I'm expected to get the job done and take lead on new deals since they're understaffed and have multiple competing investment opportunities. While I don't mind putting in the hours, I feel kinda less confident about the team as a large reason for me to join the firm were these people that don't work here anymore (all ex MBB/IB)
Big law associate, considering asking for some sort of leave of absence for mental health reasons. I’m not sure if it’s burnout or just depression, but it’s bad. I have a therapist, I’m sure they’d write a note or something if necessary. I’m just concerned about how this would look / backlash…
Looking at PE exits and having second thoughts thanks to culture. I’m 24F, is the culture as bad for women as people say? A somewhat enjoyable work environment is important to me
Filled out the bare minimum for my self assessment. I don’t care about promotion anymore, I’m trying to leave as soon as possible.
Any strategies or resources you could recommend for getting rid of the dreaded annual performance review (or at least lessening the dread) and creating a more effective year round performance feedback system? Our review is currently tied to our end of year bonuses and merit increases, so not sure I could get rid of it entirely. This would be for hourly and management employees, all working on-site.

I’m in Consulting with EY 2 years now (People Advisory Services specifically). My real interest is in communications - strategic corporate and political comms. Anyone have any experience of moving into this field from Big 4 consulting? I’m in Ireland so US context likely to be different, but still would love to hear people’s views.
