Hello, We are a growing company of 250 employees. We are considering Performance Management solutions. I would love get feedback on anyone's experience with any of the below solutions? Kazoo Engagedly Perform Yard CultureAmp Thanks!!
How long do you typically allow for self assessments and manager assessments for year-end? This year we gave employees a week and managers 3 weeks (holidays not included), but they still said it wasn’t long enough even though most waited until the very last day to complete them.
After your DEI training what are the other things have you done to fill in the gaps? More training ? A speaker?
Is anyone noticing a trend toward offering part-time or contract roles to reduce risk/cost of bringing on full-time talent?
Looking for feedback on Paylocity and UKG payroll HRIS. We have 250 employees and rapidly growing company.
Can anyone recommend a certificate or course that is actually useful for developing professionals and/or reviewing performance? I don’t want/need something that is just a credential, I’m actually looking to get some formal grounding in these two topics so I can overhaul processes at my consulting firm. Thanks for your advice!!!
As a company we are looking at going digital with our employee personnel and medical files etc. What are some of the ways you have done that? Any advice/recommended process?
I’m looking for some examples of an employee recognition program. Does anyone have something they are willing to share? We are starting from scratch.
Has anyone taken the PHR exam lately? What was the best test prep IYO? Online on demand , online live classes? Are the practice exams worth the cost?
What are some best practices for handling an employee with dare I say, too much initiative? They tend to steamroll others and processes because they are so fast at their job and rather than taking a breather when done, start digging around for new projects outside of their scope. We value them but want to ensure others are given opportunity to thrive too.
Any advice for someone looking to transition into a full HR Generalist role from Recruiting. I’m currently a Campus Recruiter with about 5 years of HR experience (Coordinator- Higher Ed). I received my PHR certification in September 2020 and sitting for my SHRM-CP in two weeks. I’m having a hard time transitioning into a full Generalist position.
Hi all! We’re doing quite a bit of hiring on our HR team at LEK Consulting - in particular Manager positions in LA and Boston and a specialist role in NYC. If anyone is interested, or knows someone that could be a good fit, feel free to dm me!
I am looking to gain certification or other credentialing in diversity and inclusion, not only because it would look good on my resume both for future job-search purposes and also to become better educated in this area, which is growing in importance. I looked at SHRM's "Inclusive Workplace Culture Specialty Credential" and got a bit of "sticker shock" at the cost - $1,655.00 for members. Does anyone have other suggestions on training/credentialing in this area?
What is salary range for experienced Tax MD from Big 4 at mid-tier firm like BDO? Anyone made the move? Regrets? Recommendations? advice for offer negotiations?
Any 🐠 in Telecom billing/BSS sales? Looking for perspectives on the industry overall and what the big shifts will see over the next few years. Also looking to connect and share personal experiences. Overall have to say the space has felt quite stagnated last few years, especially in MSOs. Too much fear to make any major shifts, especially now in covid.
Currently, I am recruiting or trying to recruit without LinkedIn Recruiter. Management is having a hard time seeing the ROI from LinkedIn Recruiter because they have never used it. Most of my experience in recruiting has been using LinkedIn Recruiter as my go to source. Is there anything I can do to convince them otherwise? Or are there any other resources that can help me fill all of my open positions? We use JazzHR for our ATS and free job boards through JazzHR.
Debating leaving my big law job to a dif big law firm or regional firm because I’m no longer liking my practice group/the culture, etc., but I feel the work/life balance is solid, so I’m hesitant. I work maybe one weekend a month, fire drills are rare, and unless there’s a deadline or it’s a busy month, I can typically work 45-50 hour weeks. Pay is slightly below market. Am I crazy to leave or are people on here just exaggerating how much they actually work in big law/are they outliers?
Any thoughts on family law as a practice area? Got offered 110k plus bonuses with low billable hours requirement. I'm in Los Angeles. Not sure if I should get into it as a practice area though as I hear conflicting things. Any thoughts would help. Thanks
Joining KPMG as an intern in healthcare advisory practice. Considering that I am in a MHA program (healthcare administration) any way to leverage to receive an offer as a senior associate?

If you’re on the bench right now, there’s a 50/50 chance of being let go in 2020. Coronavirus is about to destroy industries, small businesses, and economies of entire countries. This is not a joke.
Just moved to industry, got a 20% raise, plus 10% bonus. Oh, and they go home at noon on Fridays. See ya public... it's been real.
What has EY’s covid response been like? Are they 100% remote still? Anticipated date/plan to go back to offices? And how have clients reacted?
Looking for recommendations for a good immigration lawyer in NJ/NY (I live in Jersey City) to help with the green card process for a US citizen’s spouse. TIA!
How do you all find mentors? I’ve been put in a much larger role and am struggling to define my role as I’ve never seen it done closely (not well). I feel I need to talk with someone else in the industry to get real answers to challenges that could make or break me in this role.
What’s it’s like working at EY tax? I heard they recently fired a bunch of people. Got an offer but not sure if I should make the move.
How much of a pay cut should I expect moving from a consulting Manager level compensation (e.g. PL, EM, Manager) to a reasonable exit opportunity? I’ve heard that CPG pays much less, but wanted to know if that’s the case at all levels of exit, etc.
Pre-COVID, what was Noogler orientation like?
