I’m 26 and I work at an RIA doing reporting but I’ve always wanted to work in investment banking. I have way too much in student debt ($150k) to go back to graduate school to try and get an investment banking internship. I don’t have my CFA but I would like to get it. Is it too late for me to break into the industry without prior ibanking experience? Should I retire that dream? Or is grad school the only way to get in?
No autonomy in HR. Dept of 3. Top HR is myself and Talent “Head”. Both of us report into CFO. Everything I and Head of Talent do that has to do with money (and just about everything else) We have to get “approval” from CFO. I mean things like whether I write someone up to whether I can pay out 3 earned vacation days to a term employee who took took the time right before they termed BUT worked. So, airing on side of caution, I paid it out without seeking approval. How is it for you?
I’d like to get HRCI recertification credits that add the biggest impact to my professional development. I’m currently a SPHR and HR Business Partner. What is the best training provider or certification to go for?

If a job offer with a financial institution is subject to passing reference checks, would you resign from your current employer before those checks are done?
I am considering Customer Success based on my experience maximizing current accounts. However I am assuming I am potentially underselling or belittling what that role consists of. My understanding is, essentially take the typical expectations of a AE and remove the Net New aspects. Your primary goals are to retain and expand.
That is my understanding, without being offensive, is it that simple?
Are there any workouts you can do at your desk without looking completely insane? My hours have gotten to the point where I’m lucky if I have time for dinner when I get home. Needless to say there’s no chance of making it to the gym and I’m trying to figure out little ways to make up for it throughout the day.
HR/LEGAL HELP: I work for a multi-state remote employer. I am doing a classification study of sorts and believe that we may have to reclassify some positions. The impact is moving exempt and salaried positions to non-exempt. This has caused us to consider what states we are/should be hiring from. Any issues with excluding candidates from certain states that may have more stringent pay laws? Appreciate your help!
I’ve been in my current position (Bookkeeper) for 4 years now. I’m highly interested in taking the PHR, and I’m wondering if I would qualify for the 4 year HR professional job requirement to be eligible to test for the certificate. I work for a small business, therefore I do all the on boarding paperwork/payroll. Any advice is appreciated.
Anyone worked at / heard of the AE experience at Brandwatch? A friend is looking to make the move there and I want to be able to give him some insights so he can make a smart decision if anyone has info
I am currently at a company I have been at for 7 years and I get vested into a pension at 10 years. The pension is good but I do not enjoy my work anymore and there is limited to no mobility at my level. I was recently offered a global hrbp role for 30k more than I am making now. I’m not sure what to do! Do I stick out 3 years for the pension or take this new position?
I currently work for a not for profit in Australia, but have recently realised there is no room for career progression at my organisation (I was hired as an admin and was promoted to TA within two months but that's about as far as this organisation can take me). I have no qualifications in HR but was hoping my experience would get me a position in another company with growth opportunity.
What would be the best way to make a move?
Anyone willing to share some best resources (books, podcasts, etc) for imposture syndrome? For awareness, I am a white women in HR. Always struggled with confidence but experienced some brutal/toxic management with my HR role with a bad business partner (now in a new role), and I am continuing to struggle with my confidence. Appreciate resources that are “self-help”. Also considering a therapist but hoping to also own the process myself for quicker “recovery”. TIA!
How do you guys deal with people leaving your group? 2 people left recently and it's been really demoralizing

Had an interesting juneteenth discussion with my friends this weekend. One mentioned she toured Thomas Jefferson's plantation and I told her I was shocked she even set foot on a plantation as their continued existence is disrespectful to our ancestors. She disagreed and stated she felt they had historical value. What do you guys think should all remaining plantations be destroyed or preserved to maintain historical value?

Boulder, CO. CD/AD $147-$170 depending on experience. Very conceptual, creative driven, shop. (I promise)
I think I might be underpaid. I work for a pretty small company but after looking online it seems like it. I make about $18 an hour as a strategist in Phoenix, AZ. Obviously the cost of living isn't super high, and I get a ton of hours, but still. For a company of under 500 is that good, bad, or totally fine? Thank you in advance, especially for any tips on how to bring it up to my boss.
