I graduated with my bachelor's in HRM and I'm wondering if there are any certifications or trainings I could do before I lock down on the SHRM-CP. I recently became HIPAA certified for my company and that got me thinking about what else I could do to add to my resume. Looking for good stepping stone certificates.
What is salary range for experienced Tax MD from Big 4 at mid-tier firm like BDO? Anyone made the move? Regrets? Recommendations? advice for offer negotiations?
For anyone who’s started at a company fully remote (Covid or otherwise)… when ramping into your new role, what did you do to feel more connected to your team/sales dept? I’m finding that I have questions that I don’t know how or whom to ask, I don’t know who anyone is and my manager can be MIA. This is my first fully remote role and it’s thrown me for a bit of a loop
I started interviewing with a company back in January but they were taking while to make a decision so I put them out of my mind. Fast forward to last week and I found out that I’m newly pregnant. Now, I was offered the job. I don’t know what to do! I hate my current job and this new company seems like a better fit. Do I tell them before I accept the role? I know it’s very early and anything could happen with this pregnancy but I’m torn. Advice would be so helpful!
Spam me with your favorite recruiters. Based in Arizona, need a very experienced Automotive Technician with 10+ years. Any suggestions. A firm that guarantees placement
We are going through and revamping some of our job descriptions and titles. We have a role that is mostly administrative support for our shipping department - printing labels, scheduling shipments, creating paperwork, correcting errors on invoices, etc. Any suggestions for a job title? This person spends most their time in the office.
I’m looking for a screening tool that will assess a candidate’s proficiency with MS-Teams. Would anyone know if there is such a thing that exists?
Can anyone recommend a certificate or course that is actually useful for developing professionals and/or reviewing performance? I don’t want/need something that is just a credential, I’m actually looking to get some formal grounding in these two topics so I can overhaul processes at my consulting firm. Thanks for your advice!!!
Hi all! We’re doing quite a bit of hiring on our HR team at LEK Consulting - in particular Manager positions in LA and Boston and a specialist role in NYC. If anyone is interested, or knows someone that could be a good fit, feel free to dm me!
Has anyone taken the PHR exam lately? What was the best test prep IYO? Online on demand , online live classes? Are the practice exams worth the cost?
What are some best practices for handling an employee with dare I say, too much initiative? They tend to steamroll others and processes because they are so fast at their job and rather than taking a breather when done, start digging around for new projects outside of their scope. We value them but want to ensure others are given opportunity to thrive too.
In your experience, which companies have provided the strongest enterprise sales training and methodology?
Currently, I am recruiting or trying to recruit without LinkedIn Recruiter. Management is having a hard time seeing the ROI from LinkedIn Recruiter because they have never used it. Most of my experience in recruiting has been using LinkedIn Recruiter as my go to source. Is there anything I can do to convince them otherwise? Or are there any other resources that can help me fill all of my open positions? We use JazzHR for our ATS and free job boards through JazzHR.
Why do people say if you negotiate your b4 starting salary you’ll just have lower raises in the future? Aren’t raises performance based?
Good morning. How much should I accept for an Information Systems Security Analyst role? I’m currently making $75K with 2 YOE. What’s a competitive salary? I want to move to another company. Any good company suggestions? I’m still on the market. Thanks!
So. Many. Recruiters. Calling all the associates at my midsized firm. I wish there was a tactful way to tell our firm this — they need to step up salaries generally because this is gonna be like shooting fish in a barrel for the big firms.

Just a quick FYI to anyone who thought PwC was going to give some massive raises, this was not the case. Associates saw ~5% base increase, Senior Associates saw ~13% base increase, Managers saw ~10%, Senior Managers saw ~5% increase, Directors saw ~5% increase. So unless you were an Senior Associate or Manager, you are making the same money you were 24-months ago, but with all the fun expenses we now incur with WFH.
Successful startups - what were your main pain points when trying to grow from a business standpoint that you wished you had considered earlier (E.g. include understanding users, market sizing/strategy, marketing development, developing forecasts, etc).
