Anyone here have experience working for Lane Powell? Thoughts on the culture, comp, etc. would be a huge help!

Thinking about moving from my current AmLaw100 to them.

I was very successful as an internaional sales exec at a startup for 15 years before we were bought by a large publicly traded company. The culture shift was dramatic, as was the way that I was expected to work. I was laid off a tortuous 3 years after the buyout.

While I was in some ways relieved (put me out of my misery!) I spiralled pretty hard and after a while started working PT jobs, gig type stuff, etc. while I figured things out, and healed from burnout.

Biglaw first year deferred from September to late January with a $10k advance. I had to incur $11,000 in credit card debt to live, & right when I started work, had a medical emergency that ended up costing me another $3,500. My paychecks have been smaller due to paying back the advance and prioritizing maxing out my 401k and HSA (my credit card debt was interest free).

It was depressing working these hours to mostly just pay needs and my debt. Today I paid it all off! Woooooo! I feel so free.

I’m in a sales support role and almost always receive very positive feedback in my 1:1 meetings with my bosses and during my more formal year end reviews, but I can’t help but feel like I’m stuck or I’m missing something that’s stopping me from getting to the next level. Would love any general advice on showing I’m ready to be promoted beyond sharing my desire to be when the situation is appropriate. Thanks!

I had been going to therapy and had at least some sort of handle on my poor stress coping skills, but all of that has gone out the window now. I’ve never tried taking pills to help manage the anxiety and depression but I think I need it to even begin to let therapy help me. I don’t have a primary care doctor right now, and wanted to know if anybody has used any apps or online services to get a diagnosis and prescription online before? Or any insight at all. Thanks.

I keep seeing people here saying things that imply getting an MBA from T15 is worth the money if you‘re trying to get into MBB/PE/IB (can‘t say anymore what exactly people say and don‘t have the time to scroll and look for them). Is MBA worth the money in any other professional situation? Not interested in PE/IB but I wanted to do an MBA. However, I got an offer from MBB tech/digital arm. Should I go for an MSc. Instead if I want to get a masters degree?
