I’m currently a Grade 11 at Cisco. With the recent pay structure changes my annual comp will be $150k + 12% bonus. I live in a large metro area in the middle of the US. Does having a referral make a big difference to get your application reviewed?

I'm currently in Canada and planning to move to Sweden soon so applied for a few spots however I don't have even the slightest idea if
a) applying from Ca will actually get my application tossed out the window
b) I've heard there are gazillion ppl applying so if referral gets me on the radar, instead wasting time just find someone to refer me?

I had actually applied through a referral to Deliotte for Fx settlemets position. I got a call from Hr asking for CTC and notice period. Haven’t heard back since 2 weeks. Does it take long for them to schedule a interview or what could be the case?
