I’m 21. Maybe I just got lucky, but working in Apple retail was an incredible experience. I was only there for 7 months, but it was enough time to know it’s a place filled with love and laughter. Walking in other Apple Store’s I can feel the energy and I genuinely believe my store was unique. Managers cared and coworkers were connected. I’m going to miss talking about Apple with people, but definitely not helping indecisive assholes try on 30 different Apple Watch bands; they can suck my balls.

Is it possible to move from BO Assoc role to FO VP role? Had anyone done it

It feels like my pay and title are lower than my scope of duties. I manage Youtube channels and do all strategy, planning, talent management, rework content for socials, reporting, graphic design, + a bunch of other stuff. Do you think I should be something like Video Content Manager? A Strategist maybe? My company doesn't have career pathing & I think they'd be happy to keep giving me more work with the same pay. TIA!!

How would you compare the skill set of people who work on public company audits compared to those who do solely do non-public company audits?

One of my senior managers is a boomerang and told me she was laid off when she was 7 months pregnant about 10 years ago. I think she was a senior or manager. She was in a specific group and everybody was laid off. It wasn’t performance based.

Would you work at your company again if you were laid off?

Have you ever taken a job you know you will hate because you needed the money right away? I have a family to take care of. I don't want to be plowing through our savings for selfish reasons like my mindframe at work, but I don't want to make our lives worse by being miserable. I'm lateraling to another firm because frankly I think the management of this one is terrible, but the people (and individual partners) I actually work with are awesome. I've only been here for about 18 months, so I imagine that short time frame will make it extra awkward 😬
