Hi I have been offered a job of supervising associate at EY GDS. I have no idea about the hierarchy at EY GDS. I have almost 12 years of experience in the telecom and IT industry. Have completed my MBA from SPJIMR and just completed my PMP certification. I am wondering whether this role is suitable as per my experience or I have been short sold? Needed some more information regarding the role. Is it a beginner level role at EY?

So I am seeing this guy, and whenever we go out for dinner we split the bill 50/50. Like he doesn't even offer to pay. But when we go out for drinks after dinner he pays. He's currently doing his MBA so loans and told me that money was always tight when he was a kid so I get it, but sometimes it's hard not to compare to my ex who used to pay for everything when we went out. But then again he had a range of other issues hence the ex... please offer some respectful thoughts to help me 😊

Has anyone actually had to pay back a certification bonus/reimbursement? Technically if we leave within a year of earning then we are supposed to, but I dont if it's enforced...

MD or MBA? I got into both. I know most will say choose the MD, but hear me out: MD: I'd have to go into a specialty to have a good IRR given my salary & the $200K+ debt. By the time I'd be done with residency the US may be in a single payer system. US doctors make 3x the amount in France and 2x vs UK.. I currently make what a doctor makes in France. That could be the future here, too. MBA: 1 yr. Europe. I'd make about 15-20% more vs. now.

Needing a serious advice - I’m nearing 30 and have a lot of financially heavy goals that I’m trying to prioritize (whilst living in HCOL). From your views, which one would you say is a strong priority if my goals are: A. Get an MBA for a career switch (non tech to tech) and advance up for $300k+ TC B. Invest in real estate/rent out for passive income C. Get hired in tech asap (can’t stand my current industry) D. Get my own apartment to live alone E. Travel/PT (once covid is gone for good)

I’m convinced that “implementations” are more challenging than “strategy” consulting. Having done both, the nuances associated with having to figure out every last detail in implementations makes the work significantly more challenging than painting high-level strategy in what is often broad brushstrokes filled with assumptions.
