20+ years in the military as HR Officer with training and education leadership experience. As I look towards transition to civilian sector I’m considering increasing tech experience to diversify my career and provide better options. Full of soft skills and management experience, but few tangibles. I’ve explored Trailhead, but I’m not sure system admin is right path. Any suggestions? 2+ years until transition. Possess a Masters in Leadership and SPHR cert.

I have been approached by PwC HRs twice in last 2 months, both times they did not even shortlist me stating that my expected CTC is high.

My profile:
YoE =6.5yrs + 2yrs tier2-MBA
CCTC=16.5
Expected CTC= 1.4x

2nd time they approached, I even brought down my exp CTC to 1.3x. Still they said PwC does not have budget.

I already have offer of 1.45x from another Big4. Its only PwC that is not budging. :(

Hi , I am BA currently with 4.5 yrs experience in analytics . How difficult it is to actually switch from pre-sales to product management ? I am a MBA graduate who is currently working in business development at a services firm. I actually got interested in PM about a year back and from then I have been working on to improve my skill set for PM role. But, whenever I discuss this with people at my job they do make me feel like this direct job transition would be really difficult/almost impossible.

How do you handle a rude recruiter? I had a recruiter ask my salary expectations, and when given I was told I was asking too much (I was in line with my current role and competitive salary in NYC,) and I shouldn’t ask for that because “I just don’t have that much to offer.”
