I’m my last role (at the same company) I made a PowerPoint presentation of all my accomplishments (including gaining a certification). At first, they denied me a raise (I liked my job it was just too much work for the pay). They said I was unable to get a raise unless I was promoted. I let them know I was serious by applying to jobs within the team. Then someone left and they felt I was a shoe in for the position. To sum it up, closed mouths don’t get fed! Had I not spoken up I would be in my same old position making less money than the work is worth! This year my efforts took my company to a new level resulting in additional revenue (we hit a goal we hadn’t hit in decades) - you already know I will be coming to them with a new PowerPoint and a proposition lol!
Yes! This is so inspiring! Get the slides ready.
I was promoted in August 2021 from a QA Manager to a Regional Quality, Learning & Development Manager and my salary went up 30k and last week I accepted an offer for a senior manager of Learning and Development with another company and my salary went up another 20k totaling a a 50k increase in less than a year. I wanted to share this to make sure everyone knows their worth. Go for what you want…. You deserve it!
Omg I needed to hear all of this! Congratulations! 🎊🎈🎉🍾
I'm interviewing for a more money...Prayers up, I hope I get the job!
Learned to negotiate by not really negotiating. I refused first offer. Politely declined and said y'all seem great but the salary just won't work for me. Best of luck. They came back and said how much do you want, and they gave me a bit more than my ask.
It's been over a year at my current job, with no raise or increase so I had to look elsewhere.
I entered the work force in may of 2019.
Started on a 35k salary.
- Jumped to 37k in year 2
- Jumped to 45k in year 3
- Jumped to 72.5k 9 months into year 3.
Still a humble salary, but proud of my trajectory so far and hoping to somehow break into six figs within the next 2 years.
With the influx of new clients, I may increase my price within the next 6 months!
