You can get a MBA and sit for your CPA. You only need 150 credits and if you took accounting as your undergrad you should meet the class requirements.
No need. You don't need this for consulting banking or PE. Only if you want to be an audit partner.

Unfortunately was finance and economics undergrad. Approximately 124 credits. Probably just going to pursue an MBA from a top ten in 2-4 years
I have my masters in accounting and CPA (was an auditor before consultant). I don't think the CPA is that helpful in consulting but if it's something you're extremely interested in for your own personal knowledge, go for it - it does make your resume stronger!
And I've been used on projects for "credibility" just because I have a CPA lol
