3 hour flight delay with Delta. How do you get airline to compensate? (Ps: 3 hours of delay after boarding)

What type of delay? If it's out of the airlines control let it go

Basically the flight came in (from whatever destination) with 26 people needing wheel chair assistance. Took forever to get the passengers out of the flight, which led to boarding delay for us. Hilarious when I think about the reason as it looks like all the oldies had a field day. Still, that's airline's scheduling problem. Got home way too late and I am cranky now

26 wheelchairs is usually an inbound from a Florida retiree destination like West Palm or Ft Myers. Doesn't explain the 3 hr delay after boarding though. If that was weather related they don't have to do anything but probably will give at least a token amount of miles. If they otherwise screwed up operationally they might compensate an it better.

The delay occurs because the plane loses its normal departure slot. On a busy airport it's difficult to manage a slot again quickly.

That said, file a complain. Normally, airlines give $200 in travel voucher for a delay in excess of 3 hours caused by them.

Exactly P2

Hello Fishes,

I have got my L2 Dependent Visa stamped for the US through the Wife's organization and she has booked the tickets for the both of us in the next weekend. I am currently unallocated in TCS and seeking projects in the same US location as my Wife. Can I travel to the US just like that and then continue my search within TCS from there or do I need any approvals to even fly in the first place?

I am worried because of the time crunch and will be glad to hear some points on this.

I want to get my PhD, but all of the programs I want require a full time commitment for the first year. What are my options? Is a sabbatical an option? Or would I have to straight up resign? Utilization notwithstanding (I’m a GPS consultant)…is it possible to go part time? I completed my master’s full time while a full time Deloitte consultant. I know school can be done, but for PhDs they usually want you to also work as a TA. Additionally, I am not interested in online programs.
