3yr+ experience in procurement and actively looking for broader supply chain roles. However always got rejected because I don’t have supply chain experience. Any advice or suggestions?

Have similar experience with 3+ years of supply chain consulting…it seems like industry roles don’t value consulting experience the same way/don’t see it as relevant. Don’t have a good answer, but I feel you it’s frustrating

EY is hiring SC consultants. I know one of the partners and happy to send her your resume.

I made this move. Pivoted from 3 yrs sourcing in industry to sourcing for a consulting firm. Then built some relationships outside the sourcing vertical and got staffed on some broader supply chain projects. Now I work on network design, growth projects, org design, etc. haven’t done a sourcing project in years. Key was playing up my analytics skills. Sourcing is detail oriented work and if you are in an analytics heavy sourcing role, those skills will pivot well anywhere that needs a good mind for spreadsheets.

Yeah I’ll definitely focus on my analytical skills next time. Thank you for the advice!

I have maybe 10-15 lit cases that I'm "responsible" for. Some of them are tar babies that I know the partners and my colleagues would hate taking over, but I don't think I'm willing to wait for resolution on them either. Thoughts?

A long post: seeking some perspective. My husband of 2 years that I’ve been in a relationship with for more than 8 years just woke up one day and told me that he’s unhappy in our relationship. I’m devastated because he’s never expressed anything like this in the 8 years. He’s been super supportive and loving, even when we were in a long distance relationship. He supported my career and dreams and this just doesn’t make sense. We have gotten a counselor but things aren’t getting better. Comment>

So our CEO asked me and a colleague to give a Start/Stop/Continue Mid-year review of our CIO who’s been our Head of Product for a few months (Our Head of Product left because of him when that guy came in)

We have a lot to say and none of the PMs approves the way he operates.

My concern is that it’s meant to be transparent but if we’re honest and he gets called off, he will figure out it comes from us.

Never been in that situation before, is it better to be completely honest or a bad idea?
