EY FSO FAAS (S1) vs internal consulting for a big PE firm(consultant)? I recently got two offers. Both are for technical accounting. Which one is better for career development in the next 2-5 years?

Depends on PE firm and what projects you get placed on to develop your skills

IMO I could be wrong - EY opportunity sounds like a lot of work but there’s potential to learn a lot and if you’re coming from IM or FS fields at PwC it’d be practically the same (the change in teams and culture could potentially make a difference), the consulting for a PE firm consultant sounds more appealing to me but can be more challenging if it’s more demanding with higher expectations, or crappy if you hate the people. It does depend on the groups, clients, and work you get too...

The one thing I love about EY : the people 😍. It makes a huge difference

I got an offer at Meta as a 3-mo contingent CSM that pays 2x what I make now.

Two pros: 1) Making the jump from a non-tech agency role to FAANG can be tough, so this is a great oppo in that aspect.
2) I'm living in SF on a non-tech salary, so the pay increase would be incredible.

It’s possible I could move into a similar role @ Meta once this expires, but to be safe, I'd need to start the job hunt again asap.

Thoughts on the pivot & how valuable a short-stint at Meta is for future job hunt?

What advice do you all have for entering the field in my position?

No plans to add a level 1 (would be lower) specialist but will add level 1 engagement specialist to team. Should I update resume/cards or is this confusing?

Which offer should I accept? Currently staff 2 at big 4 in Tax with CPA license. I want to leave tax ASAP. Both are public companies +1B in revenue and same salary. Offer 1 - staff revenue accountant so reading contracts, speaking with the sales team and legal team, a lot of work at the end of the months to close books and reconcile transactions to make sure we are ASC 606 compliant. This track usually leads to director of revenue. Offer 2 - internal audit staff so SOX and compliance projects.
