Harvest, I have had a few white people in my life admit to me that they got an opportunity only because they were white (good ole boys club ring a bell?). Attacking affirmative action (and similar programs) for the the symptoms of racism is like rejecting a medicine because it is known to cause some side effects. It’s not a perfect solution but it’s the best one we have for now (there are still wicked people roaming this earth and that may never stop).

EVERY employee signs a pledge at their employer that they won’t behave unethically yet millions of dollars in fines occur every year that companies pay because some of those same employees are sexually or racially discriminating against others. So let me flip it to you now - what is a better solution given that the fines for discrimination are not decreasing over decades?

Any women here with lean PCOS? I do not ovulate on my own (metformin regulated my periods but I still don’t ovulate) and am moving from three cycles of Clomid/IUI to IVF soon. No other issues have been found other than my PCOS (HSG shows tubes open). Curious about your experiences. And the reason I mentioned lean PCOS is because it seems for others with PCOS part of the fertility path is diet/exercise/weight loss but I am already very tiny.

I'm new to marketing and I am not formally educated in it. I have just been learning through experience with the business. I am frustrated as a Gay Woman who has given her all for 30+ years grinding to be the best. I have been in closet, out of closet, in-between and am tired of it. I want to be VALUED as a human being. My boss makes jokes about me being from a different country whenever there is a work meeting or a gathering with coworkers, even though he knows where I am from. This usually occurs when I meet new work-related people or for example if I am in a situation that involves ethnic related subjects.
