Also, what’s the compensation like in Austin specifically? I would think the compensation would be different than Cupertino. Anyone have any offers or salaries for these positions in Austin?

Hello Mastercard employees. I have been trying to break into MC for long now.
I have 2 yrs workex post MBA. I have experience in data analysis and consulting. But I don't want to get into consulting anymore. I am looking for analytics roles. Anyone here would be able to DM and guide me on the available options at Mastercard?

Also applies to almost every other position in an agency.
Yeah, if we had settled in a bigger market it would be a totally different story.
78 to 108 in one year 🤗
Loyalty to an agency almost always leads to financial stagnation. Loyalty to good bosses and great coworkers is how you succeed in this industry. Doubly true if you ever decide to go freelance.
And also a reminder that your boss is not your friend.
On the flip side: I went from $110 to $175k in 4 months by staying - sometimes you’re recognized and don’t need to jump!
Be loyal to the people who helped you get to where you are, not the agency. Just be careful not to jump around too much, it tends to be a red flag to hiring managers when you receive resumes that list multiple 6-months-or-less jobs in a row. i tend to think either the person is incompetent and gets fired a lot or is just here as a money grab and i’ll have to be repeating the same hiring process again in a few months.
