About to travel for work for the first time in a long time- what are some of your best work trip travel hacks? Is there anything you look for in a hotel to make it easier?

As things start to open up fully, some of my institutional clients are sending notices that we are expected to do X activity over zoom from here on out (things we used to do in person). Clearly it’s a cost cutting measure. Anyone else feel like filing for telephonic appearance so the insurance company can save a buck isn’t going to sit well with judges who prefer in person attendance? I hope they deny all of them so my billables don’t suffer. Less travel = more desk bs I have to do to hit quota

I ask because I’ve let my credit spending get a bit lax since moving and adopting a puppy recently, so I haven’t been paying them off in full every month like I used to (though still well above the minimum payment, and keeping utilization at 30% or under). I see a lot of conflation between state level and federal level policy in this bowl. I implore you, if you are interested in politics or improving the United States through public policy, that you first read up on our history, understand not just the constitution but the reasoning behind it (most of it is articulated in the federalist papers), and to travel outside of our mostly privileged city/suburb life to talk to the people who build our roads, process our cattle, drill our oil/gas, etc.

We just bought a Stearns & Foster hybrid mattress. It still emits a smell and I’m reading all these articles about the harmful effects of off gassing with a memory foam mattress. Should I be concerned about this or will the mattress topper that encases the mattress take care of the problem. It’s always something. Sigh.
