Manager1: It is not a victim mindset to want to be paid equally for doing the same damned job as my male colleague. Sadly, even in 2016, there is still inherent sexism in hiring and pay decisions.

@A1 Way to go, judging me by my Profile name. All Men and Women start off with equal pay at the same position at every one of these firms. So, if a Man makes more after 10 years, it's usually because he worked for it. There are multiple studies to prove that Gender pay gap is not because of Gender. So, please stop playing the Woman card all the bloody time.
If you're a man commenting negatively on this thread why do you even give a flip, there is no impact to your way of life. You should care bc it impacts your colleagues, your sister, your girl friend, your wife, your best friends ect. If you think it doesn't exist support the pledge it'll be transparent and it'll likely make it go away.

Only place this exists is in computer science. Glass door exposed all of their salaries and dispelled this awhile ago. Sally and Bob are not working one cubicle apart and one is making 7% less doing the exact same job.

Hey Paper Writer - I have a Masters in this and have actually been DOING this for about 15 yrs. I can definitely state that white men rule the C-Suite, Boards and are paid SIGNIFICANTLY more than their female peers (many of whom have more degrees, more years of relevant experience and better numbers).
1- get your dick out of your client and learn how to capitalize words properly. 2- I don't think anyone is arguing with the fact that in certain fields men and women may be in more or less demand given the requirements and demand (sex work, physical labor, etc.) You can cherry pick industries all you like; the gap is looking at people who start on equal playing fields and then separate due to things you astutely called out- like women being judged on appearance and the fact women physically have to birth children and you don't.

It's really just a pledge to run data analysis every year on pay scale and and promotions on your people and provide it to the Feds which forces transparency. BCG may already have it which is just an easy win for them to be stewards of change and good free press

Maybe when women get parity in pay, then maybe that'll extend to paying on dates. Your argument sounds really petty. And also sounds like you're going on a bunch of dates and can't finish.
