@Help Wanting to work at a company that pays people equally for equal work makes someone a feminazi? 🙄 Judging by your profile name, you're a complete lost cause, so I won't waste any more breath on you, but maybe some day you'll open your eyes and see that women just want the same opportunities that you get without ever realizing it.
Thank goodness we had a man with a psychology minor in here to help mansplain this to us!
^ what company is that? Evidence please.
There are plenty of industries where Men are paid less than Women. Porn, Nursing, Hospitality, etc. Men are not creating a huge hue and cry about that. They're working and trying real hard to out better their peers. That's what Women should do.
Trying to recap what @help just posted and my head almost exploded. Are you saying that there isn't a problem because women are knocked down by societal expectations of beauty that they can barely function at their jobs and therefore they shouldn't complain about pay differences? Is that the gist?
I'm glad someone with a minor in psychology and human behavior is now the expert in this thread. 🙄 Not to mention the entire argument that women are more prone to judgements based on appearance is one of the issues leading to pay differential. The biggest gap here is your ability to form a logical argument.
That's interesting BCG signed up. I thought at MBB, everyone within each level gets paid the same.
About time us managers make as much as partners all for eliminating the pay gap
About time!!
Also- not every company starts men and women off at the same salary so many women are at a disadvantage from the very start and are then told to be thankful for what they get.
Yah because Glassdoor is super reliable source for salaries...
I'm not saying there is no Gender Pay Gap. There definitely is. But, it's because of merit, not the gender. Women are forced to take sabbaticals due to child birth, more prone to judgements based on appearance and a number of other factors that leads to lower confidence levels into their 30s and 40s. This affects their work, promotions and other work related entities. This is just the truth.
I have a Minor in Pschology and Human Behaviour. This is what I even wrote a paper on.
Agree with helpdick.
Most of the gender pay gap directly results from baby making. Just like most of the incarceration gap results from committing fewer crimes. In both cases, most of remaining gap results indirectly from the same source causes, ie, stereotypes formed by the majority's actions. In one case women benefit, in the other they dont.
Fed up with this equal pay gap rubbish. What about society's expectation for men to pay for women on dates, for their drinks, gifts etc. They campaign for equality in equal pay, well if you want to actually be equal start paying for yourselves too.
Happy married = Never get any
In all fairness if it's all about equality why aren't women campaigning for parity in spending parity whether it's dating or in relationships. Society still enforces that it's the (gentle)man who should spend. This could also be a driver in the pay gap. Let's have advocacy for all considerations of monetary equality, not just pay. Thanks
Nice witty comeback. Perhaps you should get back to your husband if he's not already off with another better woman. Bar is low.
Since when?

At my workplace at lease before partner men and women are paid the same
