Don't ask KPMG, they only buy from Old Navy and Lands End
Ya, stupid KPMG people, with your stupid bags! *slyly pushes Old Navy roller into dumpster
I went into the shop and browsed around. Make sure you are 100% satisfied with almost everything about the luggage. Think long term too. Don't buy a luggage that's trendy and then five years down the road, you hate it. Because TUMI products are definitely investments. It'll be the best purchase of your life and you'll look gosh darn sophisticated when you are rolling around the airport.
Stop by tumi in Columbus Circle if you're in NYC, they pulled out a recently discontinued bag for me, 45% off and looked very close to the current model
Poshmark or craigslist if you don't mind used
Go to Tumi store and get it especially when it comes with lifetime warranty. Don't try to sneak a deal. If you are so concerned about $$ then get a dupe from NY street vendors.
Gilt often runs tumi sales, got mine there.
Make sure you get one you love so explore your options in-person
Agreed! Yeah, maybe check multiple stores, the outlets, nordstrom rack/tj's and department stores, and scan selection online. Sounds crazy, but there is a ton of variety (you'd be very surprised) so it is good to know all of your options. They literally have different seasons of suitcases so there are a lot more options than whatever you local small tumi shop has in stock. Good luck-excited for you!
OP - I used to be Tumi and almost exclusively have B&R now with some exceptions. My main carry-on, mid-size checked and daily laptop rolliebag are B&R. Its cheaper and on par with quality. I also hear the warranty's much easier with B&R nowadays. I feel it's a superior offering.
@p1 easy... K certainly makes a lot more than you
Tumi outlets
M1, thanks for the input. Not too considered about $$ given my interest in Tumi... I just want to do it right, rather than blow +1K on luggage without any thought.
Just want some advice.... Chilllllllll
Thanks everyone! Quick question - thoughts on B&R?
Wow! Based in Chicago but go to NYC often. Thanks!
