*ADVICE/HELP*
Fresh graduate, 3.84 GPA, B.A. in Economics with two minors. No internship experience, and worked at a cafe for 3 years as a manager. Did some self initiated financial projects with the company in Excel, and I’m currently working at a branch bank. I want to get out ASAP, and would appreciate any help for me to get my foot into consulting. I’m talking tier 3 obviously. Is there any chance at all before the next recruitment cycle comes?

Have you considered having your resume edited by a professional to showcase your special skills. Try www.prsnbranding.com. They do a great job with resumes. Plus, try to get in touch with a headhunter.

What’s a headhunter

Start adding recruiters and talent acquisition people on LinkedIn. Look at the company’s you’re interested in and what you could realistically interview for and go from there. They may reach out to you

What do you do at the bank branch?

I’m currently in training but I’m a retail banker

I’m an analyst at Cap within the banking & capital markets practice. Take a look at the job listings and I can refer you, if you are interested

I took a look, most of the requirements disqualify me. Unless you see something I don’t, which is entirely possible

COO’s & previous SR. account executives…

I made it to regional manager for a franchise by age 22. Ran a successful financial practice & sold by the age of 33. So, a recruiter gave me feedback that my lack SPHR or SHRM-SCP is causing my resume to be knock out by AI and human recruiters despite my position and work history in Multinationals and being in Technology. They suggested that we put SPHR ( Lapsed). I let it lapse in 2017. What is your opinion? Plus if I were to take another certification - should I take SPHR or SHRM-SCP?

So look, not trying to be a dick here, but legit, why do people who live in nyc always give off the vibe that they’re so proud of themselves? Like they’ve accomplishing something just by being there. I’ve lived in huge American cities before but never felt compelled to aggressively pat myself on the back just for signing an overpriced lease. It’s a great place and all, don’t get me wrong, no need to get defensive, but come oooooon, really? Just curios that’s all :)

Hi everyone, I have a quick question that’s kind of silly. I work at a pretty small company leading marketing. My title is technically Marketing Lead but I want to put Head of Marketing on my LinkedIn etc. I think of these titles as totally interchangeable—I just like the way the second one reads better. I know titles don’t really matter, but I’m battling a little bit of imposter syndrome.

What does everyone else think?
