Take care of YOU! ❤️

All of this extra work preparing for in-person, hybrid or some type of combination is a great time to be earning clock hours. We can design classes to fit your needs and you will not need to pay until 2022 when you move up the pay scale. Let me know if I can help. Email me at robcollins247@gmail.com
If you are a female educator in a public school in Texas, I have a research opportunity for you. I am a Doctoral Candidate at Baylor and doing a study on the experiences women working in the field of education have had that triggered shame and exploring their resilience to those experiences. Well then pack up and go. Its going to be hard to leave what you are used to, but if you are not happy then don't stay in that situation. It will get worse and worse and your mental health will continually get worse. I watched my dad go through it when he was in education.
Yes. I made the mistake of not taking an offer for my dream job at a different school district during a time when even two decade veterans were in a mass exodus from my school. It is hard and foreign to us I think because it kicks in our parental drive when we think of meeting the kids’ needs and less of our own but I have learned that I have to think or myself first. Best to you ❤️
I would write a formal email to your principal informing him of how you feel about the situation and let him know your intent regarding a new position the following year. Either they will respect your request or they will not. I had to straight up tell my principal I would leave if I wasn't given the opportunity to teach something different. He respected me enough to let me change positions. Send the email and be honest. See what the results are and go from there
I have had a meeting with her about it. She is aware of my feelings.
I’m sorry this is happening to you.
Please allow me a moment to play Devil’s Advocate.
Is there a valid reason why the district needs to keep you where you are?
Does keeping you where you are benefit a large number of students?
Are you a vital part of a department or grade level?
Is it easier to fill the other position than it would be to fill yours?
*None of these should automatically negate your request. However, perhaps there is a valid, logical reason. Maybe it’s not just a blatant disregard of your wishes.
Again, sorry.
Is there someone to replace you? Have you considered “duplicating” yourself through mentorship? Investing in another, so that they can take these responsibilities.
As an administrator, it would be easier to let you go knowing there would be [blank] to shoulder your duties.
Perhaps request to begin transitioning away from these roles...mentor others into these roles.
Move to Iowa :)
