As a divorcee with a kid, i find it extremely hard to find friends who can relate, or even making friends as it seems there’s a stigma attached to you because your relationship didn’t work out.

Hadn’t noticed this sub before, and most of the threads are old so thought I’d ask a follow up - how has everyone been handling parenting with public accounting? I’ve got a toddler and my wife is an accountant (industry), and we only have a few immediate family in the country- but they have health concerns. Busy season was rough, things are looking better now as things return to normal. Still working crazy hours if you count the daycare duties on top of utilization targets.

I went through my gf’s phone and found out she had a crush on my best friend when we first started dating (over a year ago). How to politely tell my partner stop spending too much time on playing video games? It was my false at first. I introduced Zelda breathe of the wild to her and now, she is hooked. She even played game when we had the movie night. I chose the her movie style but she let me to watch it alone and silently turned on the game, and played it while pretended to watch the movie with me. That’s not fun at all. What should I do? Well, I was the one who broke it off. I couldn’t get him to love me the way I needed or even respect me enough. It’s been 6 weeks of not seeing each other. We messaged this week. He doesn’t get it…. His messages show he still doesn’t know what he wants. Yet, if I am totally honest, I hate how part of me wishes he would do a grand gesture/finally decide to be a better man. It’s delusional. Do you think you and your significant other should have similar personalities? My significant other and I are doing long distance and I feel like when I FaceTime with him, I emote more and show interest by asking more questions but from his end, he doesn’t always have a reaction or just nods, and it makes me feel like he’s uninterested. My son is just over a year and has been a mommy's boy since the day he was born. This weekend he came to Daddy over Mommy and has been wanting me to pick him up more. I felt so useless during his first few months because he was so attached to his mom, but now I finally feel the love he has been giving mommy and my heart feels full.
