BCG final round interview in a week. Any tips on what to expect in a partner level conversation?
- how is it different than the round 1 experience?
- how important is the casing component? I'm doing pretty well, but not perfect. Friends have been eating me 8/10, with the need to improve structure and be more top down in my communication. I'm wondering what I can do to improve that in a week and if that will be a deal breaker on interview day?

Take the interviews, dont decline your offer until u have a better one signed

Take the interviews!
Definitely don’t decline your offer when there’s no guarantee those other firms give you offers. Let them know you’re in final processes (exploding offer) with another firm in case they can help accommodate timeline (especially since you would highly consider an offer from them / they’re your first choice). Once you GET an additional written offer, then make your decision on whether or not to pursue.
A1 — appreciate that but hiring managers have their agendas/timelines and candidates have their agendas/timelines. It sucks all around and everybody wins some and loses some, but candidates have to look out for and prioritize themselves and make the best decision for them. If hiring managers want to secure their candidates, they can make more attractive offers so that they ensure the best option for each candidate.
I believe it’s a balance between not wanting to burn bridges but also wanted to make the best decision for your career. If you are serious about wanting to be at a bigger firm I would take the interview and see what happens, however, 1000% do not decline the offer you have now (unless you’re going to be unhappy there).
Stay at smaller firm for at least a year then consider bigger firms. Bad timing regarding the bigger firms that contacted you after the fact.
Not worth additional stress for you to go through the other interviews unless you just want to practice interviewing. You already have a job in hand. Stick with the first job offer that saw value in what you can bring quicker than the others. One year will go by super fast and plus you will learn a lot of new skills.

What visa are you switching from/to? That has an impact too
I’m switching from a skilled worker visa to the same (UK, change employers), not sure if it makes any difference!
