I think you need to put more effort in the presentation. Explain more what your inspiration was and how you arrived at the final design. Show sketches, drafts, etc to show your process. Look at the way people on Behance present their work. They make their presentations look and feel like an extension of the project, and by doing so elevate the work greatly.
You can also keep expanding on your projects to make them feel like conceptual work rather than one-offs. For example, you could use that wine menu as an inspiration for your take on a cool bottle design for that restaurant, and maybe even turn it into a whole campaign. I would also suggest investing in high quality product mockups to help make your projects look more lively. Rephotograph your work if you have to.
I don’t mean to sound mean but overall I would say it looks like a student portfolio at first blush, and it needs to look more professional. Go on Creativebloq and check out their list of top portfolios for inspiration.
Again sorry if I sound harsh, I want to be honest with you because I can tell you’re an awesome designer. Good luck!!!
Thanks for the insight!
I agree with Designer 1. It needs more. Also, consider putting a key image/GIF that highlights the breath of the work before the copy. It gets people excited to see the details below.
I’d also see if there was a way to make the three different Aerie projects more cohesive to make it seem like a bigger idea.
