Alright y’all — who’s already thinking about classroom decorations for next year? Do you go all out with a theme, keep it simple, or just throw in a few cute things here and there? I can’t decide if I wanna change mine up or leave it like it is. What’s your style?

What are you planning to implement this school year to focus on equity in your own classroom or campus wide?

Is anyone else returning to fully in person learning? We have been hybrid/synchronous since September, which has been very hard and not very effective. They want us to have all Kindergarten students come back in March. I want to stop live teaching over google meet all day while also teaching my students in person at the same time, but there is not enough space in my classroom for safe distancing, not enough space for movement, and sitting at a desk all day is not appropriate for K kids!

I have high school children of my own, but disciplining high schoolers has always intimidated me for some reason. I have excellent classroom management, but I feel like high schoolers are a little smarter ab getting around rules and less worried about consequences.
