Am I crazy for considering a soft pivot into technical accounting? I'm currently in a deal advisory team at the Big 4. That said, my ultimate goal is to open my own advisory firm. I've realized over time that, besides finance/analytics not being as sexy as I thought, there's more need for people with strong technical accounting skills since nobody wants to do it. Researching ASC isn't admittedly my favorite thing, but I think I can find a nice niche between my data skills and CPA. Thoughts?
