Am I making less?!?
I currently make $600k as an income partner. My total take home pay is $360,000 (ie taxes are withheld). I just received an offer as an equity partner at another firm. Total pay is $625k but my net draws will total $440k (after pension contributions, benefits withheld. Note, taxes are not withheld). If I have to pay taxes on $440k, won’t I be taking home far less money?

How many bonuses come around in a year at the average law firm? Number of occurrences more importantly, but y’all can provide amount too if you like

We have sales people in Canada and the US, the Canadians make 150K CAD and down here it’s 150K USD, the Canadians argue they should be making 30% more than the US colleagues to be equal bc of the exchange! I explain the salary is dependent on the market data for them in Canada, WHERE THEY LIVE, and you can’t compare it to the US employees and the market data down here. Overall they are both in the 75th% for total comp. for their industry. Am I wrong?
