I was in the final stages of an interview with Microsoft two weeks ago, in partner marketing. Then the recruiter told me they were putting the hiring process on hold to assess the need for the role. Well, then we heard about Microsoft layoffs last week. Seems like most were in Xbox and Project Alpha but there’s not a lot of information out there. Should I hold out any hope that I’m going to get this job? Any insights on how much these layoffs have impacted the marketing org and/or new hiring?

Hi everyone, I have 2 years of experience in a service based industry as a Java developer, and I am eager to work hard and switch to a reputed product based organisation, but I am not getting proper time to study and practice data structures and algorithms, as I have so much to learn and understand things which are related to my project. Any suggestions would be appreciated and I'll try to inculcate it. Thanks in advance! Amazon Oracle Samsung Microsoft Cisco Salesforce Arcesium Uber
Hi, I'm leaving Citi in 2 months. It's hard to make this decision. I have an offer from a small startup. In citi, my previous experience was not considered and was reskilled to different tech which is the reason for change.I don't like to exit citi. As I like the company so much. But considering my current knowledge,I am in the middle of the sea.I am afraid now that the new company's offer would be revoked due to this recession?Or can I take back my resignation in citi before the last working day.Is this wise decision?

Hi Fishes/Sharks,
Can someone please tell me how is the hiring process of Credit Suisse??
I had my 1st interview last to last week and after that no communication till now. And no update on my application on the portal.
I have heard the hiring process is very slow here. Is this true? How long would they take to schedule the 2nd round (if I am shortlisted).
Please advise.
TIA.

When they lay people off do they pack their boxes for them?
Was part of the AWS S&O team for 8 months before coming back to consulting. The hours are long and the culture brutal (just short of toxic). 60-70 hours easy with atleast one weekend day spent working
To start with it's a culture shock first. Being a high growth environment you have multiple projects and you're expected to figure it out and produce results. I did not have a team and was trying to figure out everything on my own. In the end results are all that matter. And this attitude of the leadership just got to me. If I were a 20 something, I'd probably burn 80hours a week but I didnt need this now with a family
Culture at Amazon is certainly more on the aggressive/ high intensity side. Studied them in management classes when at uni. Several employees said it’s not uncommon for people to break down and cry once every two weeks or so.
Doubtful if it’s less than 60 hours
