Any banks or credit unions in NYC that don’t require a SSN or ITIN to create a checking account?

BofA.. I created an account as a visitor to the US.

Back when I did, I don't remember providing anything except passport. This was 8 years ago

City National Bank. I’m a South African moving to NY. I was able to open a checking and credit card remotely without an SSN or ITIN. You will need your employment verification letter though.

Oh another option is HSBC. They can also open an account remotely without SSN/ITIN etc.

Both Wells Fargo and TD (and probably most/all banks) will open accounts with only a passport and another piece of ID. But you have to show proof of US address - a bill, government letter mailed to you at a US address, rental agreement, etc.

Yeah this is what I figured

You need two forms of ID (passport and some banks will take foreign ID, BoFA took foreign Drivers license but secondary IDs usually have more options, should go and ask acceptable forms of primary and secondary ID to open NRA (non resident aliens)account. Most banks you will need proof why u need US bank account as a foreigner; student visa? Work proof? Utility bills in your name and address proving that you’ve been living in US and a physical address.

Most banks open accounts for international students and foreigners that live here without SSN. Many use Tax IDs as well

Hi fishes,
I'm 22 and planning to take a life insurance. I'm comparing all policies and max life seems attractive as it has good claim settlement ratio and less premiums. But there is no office near our area. My worry is that if there is a need to claim in future, it can be done all online by my nominee? Is it recommended to take policy online in any platform(like policybazaar)?
Other options I'm considering are SBI life, HDFC life which offices are available in my locality.
