When leaving a firm, what's the calculation for how firms pay out unused PTO? Assume 20 days, 10 used, and last day of work in May 31. Is it possible I could owe my employer $ if I used more than the prorated PTO?

I lost a parent recently and flew to india from the US, took the week of dec 14th off, planning to get back Jan 2nd week. Also, does EY have a bereavement leave policy i should charge my time to? or does it all go to vacation? Also for context, how much time off is considered okay in such situations?

Got in a spat with my SO. He didn’t want to wake up to drop me to the airport at 330am and said it was unreasonable that I was asking that of him. He helped arrange a taxi service (we’re on vacation). I am still pretty miffed that he thinks he’s in the right to avoid being inconvenienced. I woulda woken up and taken him and it’s not about saving dollars. Sometimes you show love by being willing to be inconvenienced. F here fwiw

Today is my 31st birthday, though no one has wished me a happy birthday day yet and don't have any close friends to celebrate it with. Am going to take the time to reflect on the past 10yrs. To most of my overachieving collegues in consulting, am not successful, but its so easy to fall into the trap of comparing myself to them and forget how far I have come in the last 10 yrs. Today I'll chose to focus on the fact that I've learnt to love myself. I hope everyone finds their inner peace.
