Part of my consideration is the assumption that WLB is likely to be better than at McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group, or Bain & Company. Could any of you fellow European fishies shed some light on the validity of this assumption? Sharing experiences would be highly appreciated.

Capital One Venture X is an interesting one. Similar perks to chase sapphire reserve but basically free when you account for travel credit and anniversary bonus. Newer card so sign up bonus is pretty good rn

Chase sapphire reserve is decent for travel rewards
Chase sapphire preferred and citi Premier are good options have good sign up bonuses
I can send you an Amex platinum referral for 100k bonus points after 6k spent in 6 months
150k is possible, u just have to go into incognito and refresh till it pops. DO NOT SIGN IN and keep on refreshing.

I also have AMEX gold but recently opened up Capital One Venture X. I can refer if needed, DM for details. I can help explain benefits too, easily recoup more than what you spend on annual fee honestly.
I use Amex gold for food, restaurants, groceries, and Venture X for hotels, flights, car rentals
Aren’t sign up bonuses like $4k in 3 months…?

Sure, what’s wrong with that
Cap1 venture x is good if you can get it (if you've opened up multiple cards recently they're likely to auto-ding you). Amex plat if you travel lots and could use the perks. Either of the chase sapphires for daily spend.

I opened up 2 credit cards (Amex Gold and Verizon Visa) shortly before opening the Venture X, and they approved me instantly.
But this may vary for each person I guess.
I love that credit card companies have convinced consumers that spending thousands of dollars is the best way to save money
