Across all levels at Big4, how does salary compare between Australia and Canada? I've got 3.5 YOE at Deloitte (internal transfer into consulting, expecting ~$80 - $85 at Consultant). Considering a move next year. Looking specifically at Melbourne, but interested in any information. Is there also an appreciable difference in WLB from your experience? Thanks!
Came across a dated post on McKinsey Engagement Manager EM pay increases from associate. Keen on hearing from EMs working there. Is this post accurate in that if you were to accelerate within one year your pay is still basically associate level or does your pay actually change with position. Similarly how does bonus change? Even irrespective of promotions does salary materially change for say an A2 vs. A1? https://www.reddit.com/r/consulting/comments/4597qk/em_at_mckinsey_salary/
2nd year manager at KPMG strategy current at $205k base (w/ top 10 MBA & 7 yoe). Offered $215k base 10% bonus for a Transformation Director position with a PE backed fintech. WLB is fantastic. Company positioned to go public in 1-2 years or be sold. Should I wait to see if I make director this year at KPMG or jump now? (I have 2 kids under 4 and wife is big law attorney so WLB is key)
Hi, A tech company in Abu Dhabi is looking for people with 1-2 years of experience in strategy from MBB/Tier 2 to join the Strategy & Operations team. Very competitive salary, good wlb and exposure. DM me if interested.
I referred two people that started January 5. I was told after 30 days, the referral bonus will pay out…will it come with my paycheck on February 6? Or will it be a separate payment on the 5?
I’m curious of everyone’s views on job hopping. I’m on my 3rd job and have ~3 years of sales experience. Each job change has been an increase in comp and has shown clear career progression. At this point I’m working for a well known public company in SaaS, in their SMB segment, which has been great. But I’ve been approached by a smaller startup offering to double my base salary, 2.25x my OTE, and equity for an enterprise rep position. This is very enticing, but would I look like a job hopper?
Where can I buy a good flat / house for 500k in London? First time future home owner on a PwC Manager salary (it’s not much) but have savings from my time in the US + parents will help a little bit if needed for the mortgage I’m 25 so does that make me early / late to the party as it relates to buying property?
They are also asking for 3+ years of experience with that salary. In Los Angeles. Good luck with that. Hope it’s a mistake.
Considering making a lateral move as a biglaw (Kirkland/Sidley/Cleary/Paul Weiss type firm) mid level litigation associate in a major market to a similar firm in the same market. I don’t dislike my current firm or work, have very strong reviews, and good relationships with some key partners. Main motivation for lateraling is for potential of a significant signing bonus given the current landscape, and general uncertainty about future at my current firm. Would appreciate any advice/insights.

I’m a lawyer in B4 tax with 2 yoe about to make senior in June. Would it be foolish to throw all that away to switch into an entirely different practice area of law (not tax)? Would it be better to wait until senior to make that switch?
Hey folks, hope you’re all having a not-so-blue Monday. I’m new to EY and was wondering if the firm does annual raises? I joined as an SC and wondering if my base salary will be adjusted annually by a fixed % for inflation or a variable % based on performance? Or if the only way to increase my base pay is to get promoted to manager? Thanks for your help!

McKinsey & Company salary range for Associate Design Director role? Potentially signing bonus as well?
I've been offered an opportunity to contract for 6 months at a company that is well known and is a new technology I'd LOVE to learn and could open up quite a few doors professionally. Am I crazy to consider a contract role and leave a FTE? I was told the likelihood to covert is pretty much non existent. I've been getting tons of other leads so I think I can still find something after the 6 months but... thoughts? I'm truly excited about this role - current role is not at all what I had been sold
EY Technology Transformation ($95K) or Deloitte S&O? Interviewing for the latter and seems like a Senior Consultant at Deloitte makes about $130K a year, if not more. This seems like it should be a no brainer, but I've been very loyal to the firm considering I've got amazing work-life balance and really happy overall with my experience here.
So clarification question: if a company offers parental leave without any stipulations of how long you need to work there first, you can take it without being eligible for FMLA, right?

Hard to Swallow Pills: Joe Biden is more conservative than JFK, Teddy Roosevelt, and FDR on virtually all economic issues. He is not a communist - and accusing him of being one is insulting to anyone who survived actual communist regimes in Europe and Asia. Please read a book.

Does anyone have any experience with the relocation clawback provision recently? I took the payout option and have been preparing to move, but just found out I was approved for permanent remote work. I am grateful for the option, but still plan on eventually moving to the Bay area and if given the choice not until after a year or more. For employees who eventually did not end up moving within the year (but were still with Google) did the clawback provision still get exercised?
How do you become a fullstack developer? I have some coding background (SAS, Python, R, C), program from time to time, and would like to build up these skills, learning more on IT architecture, front and back end. Do you have suggestions? (Courses, lessons, study material etc.). I am searching something were I can learn useful stuff, not some theoretical university course, ideally part time (but I am willing to invest a good amount of time)
