Salary range of Associate Consultant in KPMG?
I’ve worked at AT&T as a sales consultant for 6 years and 8 months where we prospect, uncover, and close on leads. I’ve used Salesforce for the past 4 years during my tenure. I’ve done B2B sales where I’ve received awards for it for 2 years consecutively. Loads of troubleshooting, uncovering needs through consultative styled selling, and tech app subscriptions.
I was wondering if I have the necessary skills to transition into a tech sales role. If so, what would be the best role/fit for me?Amazon Salesforce Google @

I was in the process and will jump ship as soon as this covid thing passes. I know I’m underpaid but that’s what my firm offered. I’m grateful for the opportunity and experience but this is business. Gratitude doesn’t pay my bills. 🤷♀️
Yeah totally understand. Very glad to be at B4 and doing this job. But always room to plan ahead and want more.
Jumping ship is generally the way to get a salary boost- if you do it right.
Care to elaborate on the “right way”? I’m hoping to do the same.
I jumped ship after year 1 as campus hire. Got a pay bump larger than their salary increases.
+1. Same.
Im in the same boat. Experience hires make way more than I do (I’ve asked a few) and it’s so frustrating. I was recently promoted as well

Feels like campus hires have a much easier path up the ladder until a certain point than experienced folks, who typically have their exp discounted unless it was at a rival firm. I've seen Ms at most firms with 4-5 years of exp, and below-M experienced hires with 5-8 years of industry/consulting exp.
I’m a campus hire but firm has consistent salaries for each role (regardless of background, prior experience, location, or degree). Can you try negotiating with your current firm or try to hop to one where pay is consistent for tenure?
I am in a similar boat, my 2 cents for whatever their worth is, don’t jump for lateral and/or if the comp bump is in line with or less that you would get with a promo. The part that many overlook is the opportunity cost for a short term gain, you will have to rebuild at least in part your network if and when you jump.
Agreed. If you see a clear and short-term path to promo, it’d be wiser to stay. You can’t predict if you’ll be immediately placed in a good opportunity to succeed in your next company.
