Any other Legal Managers here? I am new to managing attorneys (have managed admins most of my career) and I have one stubborn attorney who will not let me reassign his work. Normally I'd tell juniors to just push through and get the work done, but the person I am trying to move is part time, doesn't get paid like a true associate, doesn't really need this job and will leave if we overwork them. Any suggestions on having this partner see all this? His mindset is "I say jump you say how high"

I’m have a new theory about why juniors always feel like idiots and wanted to see if anyone else thinks this makes sense. OR circulating nurse here. Will preface this by saying I have the utmost respect for CSFAs in the OR setting. However, wondering if any other OR RN’s have had issues with CSFAs feeling and acting like they are in charge of the room or attempt to carry out tasks that you as an RN are supposed to do? Is there a corporate way to bring up to senior leaders that an IC is causing issues across multiple teams because they are demanding and also doesn’t collaborate well? The IC gives vague “direction” then says they are too busy to clarify. They also refuse to use our project management/ collaboration tools.

I’m not from an English speaking country but I am watching a tv show and businessmen walk into a room and instead of greeting eachother, everyone says each person’s first name in lieu of hi, however in my experience working in the states, I haven’t seen anyone do this, it’s always hi or good afternoon or some other greeting first THEN they say their first name. is it also appropriate to omit the greeting?
