What are actionable items one should strive for when trying to grow as a designer after landing their first role? I hear a lot about ways to grow to land the first job but very little about how to improve after you know the basics.

I joined CG 6 months back and was on training for 3-4 months for Dynamics CRM, completing multiple MS certifications. Post that I was mapped to an account for the project & was under shadow.

After shadow completed it seems like there's no project openings in the account for which I was selected. And now management wants me to go for other certs.

Please help me know whom can I approach & ask for project openings/tagging. I'm worried as it's already been 6 months!

I have the opportunity to take a Solution Architect role for the Salesforce CSG team. I'm currently a solo SA for a large Salesforce Org usually dealing with about 5 large projects at a time. Can anyone that has or currently works for the Salesforce CSG team answer a few questions?

1. How many projects/engagements does a normal SA for the CSG team work at one time?

2. What is the average starting wage of a SA on the CSG team?

I’m currently in the process of being converted from contractor to permanent. In my initial conversations I was under the impression that I was in a different pay grade and asked for a salary 25k higher than the max allotted for my position. Is IB worth the sacrifice of WLB? Obvious pay is really good but are the prestige and pay worth it if you’re planning on only doing it for a couple years?
