I just got staffed as S Associate on R2R (GL) track. I have exposure to GL from a high level but I’m not an accountant where as the module lead is a CPA. I don’t have a strong accounting background, which I think will make it difficult for me. Any experience is good experience, but I want to position myself for growth and to be promoted to manager you have to be able to lead a module. I don’t know if I will be able to lead GL but with some more experience in PPM I think I can lead. What do I do?
I have been working in audit for less than a year and do not like it but I do not qualify for most internal transfer positions. What raise for promotion to VP of portfolio Ops?
Was brought in at level below VP on the ops side with the promise that if all went well I would get the VP title in a year. Being offered the promotion as promised and now being asked about comp expectations. Expecting to make $350-$375K ($330ish base + bonus) all-in this year in current role. Does $400K base + bonus sound about right?

How do you all practice gratitude? I find myself constantly caught up in things such as “I didn’t go to a top tier school” or “I don’t make enough” despite being successful in my career and making more than enough to cover my needs. Mentally I know it’s wrong to have this mindset, but I want to be more thankful and grateful for the life I currently have, whilst striving for more. Any tips?

How should I expect my admin to respond to a threat from a student? A student said “I’m gonna shoot you” today. He has “anger issues,” but also has access to guns in the home. I don’t want to overreact, but I don’t want to under-react either. It think my admin believes it was just an outburst and not a real threat. The only consequence was a call home to dad. Not sure if I I should push it or not.

I couldn't tell how an interview went. I didn't have the exact experience they were looking for but it's a job I really want and want to transition to. At the end she said "the recruiter will follow up" does that mean I probably didn't get it?
Anyone have to do a one-page written case? If so, where did you go for templates or info on structuring? I’ve only ever done cases during my live (video) interviews.
Interviewing after 90 days at new job - how would you explain this to a recruiter / hiring manager without making it sound like you’re jumping from a burning ship? Is there any advantage to telling a company you are interested in working for in the future where you decided to accept an offer from? Or does it not matter? I accepted an offer a week ago with a great company (Company A) that for this season in my life seems like a great fit and only strengthens what I have to offer company B down the road. Company B just sent me a request for interview and I want to keep the door open with Company B but they were just very late in extending an interview.

Is it just me or are there more bait-and-switch job postings lately? Looking for some guidance and advise: I'm at the tail end of the interview process with a company and am told I've got one last round to go with their VP. I've also been invited by the recruiter and the hiring director for an in-person visit to their office to meet them the very next day to show around and then they'll treat me out for dinner. I haven't received any offer from them yet. Is this normal/usual for employers to invite candidates for dinners before making an offer?
