What’s the reason for your employer to be incentivized to give increased pay / promotion?
Take note of everything you’ve done so far at the company, are any of those things beyond your regular role/responsibilities? How much additional value have you created for the company?
Beyond being ‘likable’ ‘reliable’ and ‘professional’ - your employer will inevitably need to also weigh how much ‘revenue’ you’ve been able to add to the company through your initiatives. Also, depending on who the decision maker is (if it’s a manager and not an exec, they’ll want to know how you’ve made their lives easier)
Once you have those levers, you can start assigning a numerical increase to your pay. Do some research on salary for the role. Be ready for them to push back and ask you hard questions. Start high, but not unreasonably high (otherwise it’ll be too obvious that you’re prioritizing cash over work/value for company. Cash should always be proportionate to the value you create.)
Good luck! Let us know how it goes!
All due respect, but nobody gets paid ABOVE the market rate in this industry or any others. Unless you have a job offer elsewhere and are trying to get a counter-offer. Good luck though.

Talk in value you bring, everything else is irrelevant. Successful pitches you directly contributed to, organic growth in your existing clients, key campaigns, people management n knowledge level.
Start with this n then research on what should be the market rate .
I’m not sure I was just told “no” to anything but what they’re willing to give me 🥲
